I suppose Zoe could be returning imminently and it could be her money which allows Kat to buy the Vic. The last mention of Zoe was in 2022 and she was living in London.

I’m really confused about the rumours that Zoe is Joel’s mum. Kat would have mentioned having a grandchild?

Kat and Zoe are estranged so they rarely talk.

Maybe it was only a brief affair with Zoe and Ross and although he has lived with his son they may not have seen much of his mum? She doesn’t speak to Kat , but it is ridiculous to think she wouldn’t know anything about her life at all in 20 years, but I guess it happens with family ? ( I don’t know anyone personally like this )

It does happen with families but usually they would hear things through mutual contacts etc. Zoe completely cut contact with the whole family and moved abroad. Any contact in those 20 years could have been limited, she could choose what information she wanted them to know. If she is Joel's mum, she hasn't played an active role in his life. When was the last time Joel saw his mum?
Friday's episode did feel like they were setting it up for Joel to be Kat's grandson, with her discussion with Tommy, and the cheers with Vicky and Ross.
It says Stacey has news for Alfie on Monday. If this news is about Zoe, then why would Stacey go to Alfie? Surely she would contact Kat

I still don’t think she’s Joel’s mother. I don’t know why she’d come back other than to give Kat the money for the Vic as suggested by @Shellingbynight but then that would mean in one episode (Monday) Elaine selling up and Kat deciding to make an offer on it which seems too quick?

Alfie is going to see Spencer in Australia soon ish I think , so he’ll be gone for a little while.
Why Zoe would want the pub I’ve no idea! Or Kat to be honest! The cabs seem to be doing well.

It's just fan speculation that she's Joel's mum, just like it's just rumours she's coming back.

The shoe clicks likely mean it’s a female character who’s returning.

I remember seeing the Zoe actress in a spoof zombie film about pensioner zombies with Richard Briers once.
I haven’t seen her in much else.

The shot from the station didn’t make it look that nice in Walford! It’s usually a taxi or black cab they get out of. I could hear ladies shoes too.

She was in an American TV show called The Bionic Woman for about a year but has otherwise kept a low profile since leaving EE. I can’t see it being anyone other than Zoe who returns on Monday,

There has been so little info about Zoe that either the Sun is wrong (it's usually right) or EE were trying very hard to keep it secret. And failed 😆

Zoe could be returning just to build bridges with Kat. I suspect she will have money which could later help with Kat buying the Vic which must be happening fairly soon as we saw the auction sign a few weeks ago. Her character history said she was in Spain for a long time 'selling property'.

It was completely ridiculous for Cindy to (a) still be alive and (b) return to Walford just at the time her girls moved into the Vic, so it isn't out of the question that Zoe is Joel's mother! They love a ridiculous coincidence on EE.

It would be hugely coincidental and contrived about her being Joel’s mother. Then again it would give Kat and Zoe a dramatic storyline i.e Zoe would feel defensive of Joel and Kat would be angry that Joel is corrupting Tommy? But no, this ‘story’ was first mentioned in Facebook, which is usually unreliable for EE leaks.

I agree those sort of rumours are usually wrong, it has gained momentum because we have absolutely no info about Zoe's return, and none of us can think of a good reason she'd come back to Walford!

I can't understand how Kat gets the money for the Vic within the next few weeks. The only one on the squar with a magic money tree is Phil. I suppose he could buy the pub and install Kat as licensee. Although why, surely he'd buy out George/Elaine and keep Linda there.

(Teddy has money but I can't see him buying a pub for Kat to run!)

Nicola has the bar, so I doubt they would be interested in running the Vic or being share holders.
It’s gone very quiet with all of those people lately hasnt it! Not even around for the fake wedding I think ?

I agree 80s, and Teddy had no money to pay the blackmailer so he doesn't have cash sloshing around anyway. I am sort of relieved the New Mitchells have gone quiet 😆

It'll be interesting to see if all the secrecy around Monday's 'return' is worth it, or if it's a big disappointment!

I am convinced there must be a reason for the gap between the fake wedding and the real wedding, and that K and A won’t actually get married.

So maybe Alfie is tipped off that Zoe is returning, and keeps this a secret from Kat. (Because K is estranged from Z?? Why was that?). Then Zoe turns up, and Kat realises Alfie has been lying to her, and separately Tommy gets into trouble, and they don’t go to the register office.

I thought the whole point of the fake wedding was to take photos of the limo? That went according to plan then 🤦‍♀️

It was such a muddle. If you’re planning a photoshoot featuring a limo, why also plan a reception in a pub and a best man’s speech? Why continue after the limo is stolen?

Really I struggle to understand what on earth the point of it all has been!

Agreed re limo PR - they ended up on an open top bus! Great idea and, for me, far more fun, much more spontaneity, than a limo as all guests can get driven around London drunkenly shouting at passers by and it was beautifully decked with twinkly lights and flowers 🌼💮💐

But how was it a limousine business PR stunt? And the limo has been nicked!

Maybe Zoe will return in the limo?

And to cause even more confusion, the description for next week says something about there being media attention with how well the limo shoot went, and this causes Jean upset.
Well I can't see how there was any photo shoot, considering there was no limo!

It really IS a muddle. It didn't actually make any sense for them to go ahead with that 'wedding' because the limo had been stolen, and they weren't actually getting married.

I think Shane is away for several weeks so when Alfie gets back Kat may already be in the Vic.
