For me he's been ok , he's never had a standout story but is used as a filler for others .
Sad he's going but I won't miss him .

So the three young male actors who have been on Strictly in the past 3 years have been axed/quit/suspended.

I liked all of them in the show, but I liked them less after seeing them on Strictly. Some actors come across really well in that arena, but some don't seem to know how to behave as 'themselves'.

I don't think Freddie or Jay will be missed. Freddie is a bit part, he never really took off. There's nobody for him to have a friendship or relationship with. Jay hasn't been on screen much for quite some time, probably a year.
With Martin, Sonia, Stacey and Ruby leaving, it's left a gap in the 35-45 age range

Has Stacy gone for good ..what happened to hope and Arthur,did they go with her .
I do feel big mistake killing of Martin, especially as Sonia and Bianca have left
In my mind Martin, Sonia,Bianca and Stacy are the main ones ..it feels empty with out these guys
I quite like Cindy ,but the writers seem determined to have us hate her

Who does everyone think is going to be running the Vic
Remember when the carters arrived,a new family to take over ,they were great at first untill the writers ruined it putting Mick with Janine.
I wonder if a new family will take it on ,or if Nicola and teddy will take over running it

I'd like to see someone own it with Alfie and Kat working behind the bar again 🙌

I don't know ..I'm not getting a vibe from Alfie and kat being together..I can't put my finger on it ,but it feels forced ,they don't seem to have the natural rapport they had together in earlier episodes,like years ago early episodes
I think kat does best when surrounded by a group of slaters ,and there aren't any currently,maybe it's that

I think it needs a new family like the carters to rock up

Oh that's a shame, I dont mind them together - just think that the script needs work 😭

Alfie imo belongs behind the bar

I think that it'll be Sharon's family back in the pub tbh, with Vicki and her new man - not a fan of the idea though

I’m in a minority but I like George and Elaine behind the bar. I haven’t read anything that they’re leaving the pub, has anyone else? Kat and Alfie bore me - they as a couple belong to a different era.

Wouldn't be surprised in the slightest actually,I'm sorting of expecting the same

I only ever watched on iPlayer,so I only realised yesterday,there is no episode on a Friday..how bizarre..I wonder when they changed that

Jay hasn’t been on screen for ages because he was on Strictly, then on the Strictly tour. If he does leave for good, I think they’d have to kill him off as he wouldn’t leave Lexi.

I definitely won't miss Freddie.

@Southeastdweller I think people think George and Elaine are leaving the Vic because of the 'auction' sign but that could be a misdirection. I do think she's going to kick him to the kerb though.

I really like Bobby Brazier & wish they’d given him better storylines as he’s been a background part in the main.

Loved Jay as a character but seeing him on Strictly really put me off him so I’m not bothered if he leaves but I am disappointed as to the reason why.

Kat & Alfie have lost their spark & no longer seem genuine but part of me thought that was deliberate as I thought they were making it obvious that Kat is no longer into Alfie. I did like her with Phil.

Next week Kat confides to Jean that Alfie and her are not compatible in bed because of his ongoing prostate problems apparently:(
i don’t mind them, but we have been here before with them being on and off together and so on.
Its sad Jamie Borthwick is leaving under a cloud I agree :(
I bet a lot of these celebs are quite fake people and probably think all sorts, but some know to stay quiet as anything you say out loud tends to bite you on the bum and he should have known this ( especially these days and people are ‘cancelled etc )
(Unless he goes on X ( Twitter ) , a few people seem to get away with all sorts on there most of the time)

Sharon would be great as the Queen Vic landlady again ( yes I realise LandLady is a very outdated term and they are Licensee )

Philth can buy the Vic , maybe sell his share of The Boxing Den to George who would be brilliant running it as a boxing legend

Sharon. Vikki and Ross can move into the Vic ( and the pesky Joel which can give a load more storylines as he's as Dodgy AF )

The Knights could but Sharons house ( they never like to move far do they )
I like George and Elaine , I wouldn't like to see them split . Though I;d like to see Cindy bumped off or run outta town and Elaine can run the Albert ?

ETA - Sharon'n'Philth can be business partners or get back together as a couple which of course they should . She can move back into Phils house ( and re decorate, it looks like a dungeon it is so dark ) leaving Vikki and her family in the flat above the Vic pub which she was named after and conceived in

80s I agree Twitter is a cesspit but I don't think BBC employees get away with it. I have not heard that word used for over 30 years so I am amazed Jamie B even knew it. And he's worked alongside Janet for years. He must have left his brains at home, using a term like that.

When Kat got back with Alfie she said something along the lines of "bed doesn't matter, that was never why I was with you" so she's obviously changed her mind about that.

I can’t see E and G lasting, but if Michelle Collins is off soon , maybe he’ll rekindle with juniors mum , who apparently he saw at Christmas time ( we learn next week ) !
its not on tomorrow, but Friday instead. Not sure if it’ll be on I player tomorrow , they sometimes do that and then people can get confused ! Lol

Dawn French (whose career is now, deservedly, toast) used the m word in one of her books, about 14 years ago. There was no outcry, which wouldn’t happen today.

Dawn French is in huge trouble too. Makes you wonder who advises them or if they think people might agree with them , so they can say what they like?
Ive no idea, but you’d think that keeping quite is a better strategy if you want to keep your career!

Agree @ILoveBrum , I liked Kat and Phil together. She's grown up but Alfie hasn't (thanks to the writing, imo)

Since the dawn of social media , so many people have made the mistake of posting things that they shouldn’t. Or are filmed saying things and it’s there forever.

Yes I liked Kat and Phil together, she suited being a mob type wife. Phil is much better suited with Kat than he is with Sharon. I guess they had to be split up to enable the depression storyline.
I liked Elaine and George, but ee ruined their relationship and George's character. I'm not sure why, maybe it was just to do the Vic auction story?
There is no way Vicky and Ros should be running the Vic! That would be awful. It should have been Linda and Sharon from the beginning, they never needed the Knights. I'm not sure why they were introduced, maybe it was to give Cindy a returning storyline? George had his dodgy parents storyline, and a few illegal boxing sessions but that's all. Now they can only write him as unreliable, contradictory and a cheat. Anna has only had the spiking storyline, and poor Gina has had no storyline!
