Welcome to the EastEnders spoilers thread, where we post and talk about any EE spoilers we've read about, including those in early release episodes on iPlayer.

Link below to watch episodes on BBC iPlayer - these are usually dropped at 6am on broadcast days - and you can read brief synopses of upcoming episodes:

It was a bit ‘ oh well, another death’ wasn’t it !
( although he might not be )

Butterpaneer · 28/05/2025 15:39

How is the stolen car alibi meant to work? Ar ethey suggesting teddy and Zac were in the car, stopped, someone jumped in then drove into a river?

Wasn’t it more like: Teddy was nowhere around, a mystery person stole his car from the Square, Billy and Honey gave chase, the car went into the water?

Not sure how Zac is supposed to fit into all that! Maybe he was supposed to be the car thief, and they need him to be dead otherwise it all falls apart once he turns up.

Shellingbynight · 28/05/2025 17:29

Yes, I thought Teddy was just going to say his car was stolen from outside his house. If Zack is found they would say he was the one who stole it. If he isn't found it was stolen by persons unknown. (And we are supposed to believe there is no CCTV on any part of the route they took, because there never is when crimes are committed on EE.)

It was Honey's idea and she's about as dim as Harry so I don't know how much thought she gave it. And I mean - Honey's idea. Had the writer never met Honey's character before? It just is not the type of thing she'd do.

EconomyClassRockstar · 28/05/2025 17:51

I thought it was a great episode! I really enjoyed it. Although another death by boot of the car/missing in water is getting all a bit predictable so fingers crossed Zack has miraculously escaped. I wonder what the average death age of males is in Walford because 2 in a few weeks of 30 something year old men seems a little careless.

the80sweregreat · 28/05/2025 18:37

Kush , Martin and now ( possibly) Zack have all met horrible ends ( I’m sure I have missed out a few others many others )
Walford is a horrible place to live isn’t it !
You’re honestly better off out of it !

Southeastdweller · 28/05/2025 19:22

I struggle to believe that Zach is dead. Apart from the actor being interviewed live on set the other day, today’s episode is just too obvious regarding making us believe his character is dead (Vicki’s hysteria). I enjoyed today’s episode but Vicki isn’t landing with me for some reason.

I agree Zack is probably going to turn up. But in that case what was the point of it allConfused

the80sweregreat · 28/05/2025 19:53

Zack is leaving isn’t he, so maybe he’ll have a bit of a spat with everyone and go and visit his daughter and decide to stay there ( if his still alive of course )
I agree there was little point to any of it , but at least Barney knows the truth now I suppose. Even if it was a round about way of him finding out.
It’s been tedious all round really. I feel sorry for Barney though :(

Southeastdweller · 28/05/2025 19:56

Is he definitely leaving @the80sweregreat ? I’ve not seen anything confirmed.

Perhaps the point is the implications for Harry (assault, kidnapping) and Billy, Honey, Teddy (conspiracy to pervert the course of justice). It did seem to me that Billy and Honey were brought into the situation in a highly contrived way.

the80sweregreat · 28/05/2025 19:58

I thought I read it on here that he is leaving , but might not be correct shelling. It’s also been mentioned on Facebook too, but that isn’t always right.
I know Honey’s actions ! Out of character for her .

FatBoy
Crushed to death in the boot of Ronnies car <sad>

Alucard55 · 28/05/2025 20:32

Just watched. More holes that a slab of Swiss cheese but not a bad episode.

catin8oot5 · 28/05/2025 20:36

Zack will be alive. He will have snorkelled to Calais or something equally ridiculous.

Sharon needs to get off the phone and come home.

Alucard55 · 28/05/2025 20:42

Obviously this was Harry's fault but if Zak wasn't acting like an arse and talking about taking Barney away (which I just don't see happening anyway) none of this would have happened.

EconomyClassRockstar · 28/05/2025 20:44

Didn't Vincent die in a car boot too? See, car boots in Eastenders land are not to be messed with.

@catin8oot5 Maybe he'll find Mick there and bring him back too.

EconomyClassRockstar · 28/05/2025 20:46

And now Shakil's death just popped into my head. They did that one brilliantly. It was heartbreaking.

Yes. Also when Carol’s son Billie died, back in 2010. That story was truly EE at its best and Lindsay Coulson (one of the best ever actors the show has ever had) was amazing in that story.

OP posts:
Shellingbynight · 28/05/2025 21:51

I agree re Billie's death. I love Lindsay Coulson.

I haven't heard Zack is leaving. The crash was his fault though, grabbing the steering wheel - who would do that, it isn't likely to end well! But equally Zack yelled at Teddy to stop the car and he didn't, he kept driving, so his fault too.

He might find Mick snorkeling on the way.

the80sweregreat · 28/05/2025 22:23

They have a fascination with water on EE , either in cars or people drowning or nearly drowning at least every other year. Denny met a watery death in 2020.
Roxy and Ronnie drowned.
Mick and someone else nearly drowned on his wedding day. ( Dean ?) Mick in the sea.
its definitely a thing !

Southeastdweller · 28/05/2025 22:26

Don't forget Den (he was shot and fell into a canal). That was also where we found out he was the father of Michelle's baby.

OP posts:
Shellingbynight · 28/05/2025 22:32

Falling into water is often used as a way of failing to find the body, so the person can turn up later. Like Den and Sean and (probably) Mick and Zack.

Bunionbabe · 28/05/2025 22:47

The Square is the East End's Bermuda Triangle. Mysterious forces suck people into a turbulent vortex and they disappear/sink without trace. At least until they are resurrected in a future storyline.
