I think it probably lacks tension because we don't care about most of the people involved! I'm going to watch this afternoon.

I've seen post-crash photos and Nigel and Billy don't look seriously injured, just a few facial cuts.

That was such a weird episode I don't even know what to say about it. 🤷‍♀️

No, it was just strange , disjointed, it made little sense and was annoying !

I actually quite enjoyed the episodes this week. Agree that Zack has lost the plot somewhat with regards to taking Barney away and telling so many people about it too!

But loving the interactions between Harry, Teddy and Nicola. I found it really cutting when Harry called his mum Nicola. Like she was just some woman rather than his mum. Absolutely hate the jumper he is wearing with the white collar. Makes him look like his neck is in some sort of brace!

Also enjoyed the scene when Nicola was telling Avani how to deal with the trolls. Priya could have told her the same of only Avani would have gone to her.

The funny thing about today’s episode is that I imagine Nicola did the same thing to Shireen as Harry did to Zack - impulsively attacked her to ‘scare her’ off revealing the secret but she ended up dead!

Strange episode but I thought Jumpers acting was very good.

Agreed, think he would make a good Bill Sykes in Oliver.

I found it odd that Nicola went from hysterical, frightened mum to a rational, sensible adult counselling Avani on dealing with trolls. Like she switched personalities in a few minutes. Also Harry said Zac was the only person who knew about Barney, but Zac had told the whole Square so everyone knew.

I just caught up the last week and the first thing I wanted to say is why is Ramona there?! 😂

Jumpers wasn’t bad at acting last night
Nicola talking to Avani was the first time I’ve come close to liking her but if misread what happened at first as I thought I’d seen Vicki skulking around and thought she would hear and find out what Joe had done
I really don’t want Zac to die, I know Whits left but my soppy head can’t think of after all they’ve been through her losing him
Linda is involved in everyone’s problems still she must be fed up of them all

I’ve just watched today’s. I know it’s a spoilers thread but it’s early so I won’t spoil it.

it carried on the ‘weird’ vibes. An ambulance was called but then seemingly abandoned coming to help them.

none of it really made sense and I don’t quite believe the ending

Yeah I’ve just watched it too. I see why they needed Nigel in the car. He will blow the lie up that the car was stolen. He knew that jumpers was driving.

Ah I didn't think of that.

Where are Ross and Joel with all this going on ?

So Jumpers is still alive and I'm sure Zach will appear tomorrow.

I thought the scenes with Nigel quite poignant, but the scenes with Barney and Avani I couldn't take seriously when - as mentioned numerous times - the actress is clearly a lot older than the character she plays.

I am not too bothered by the actress being older, I suppose she has to be really for this type of storyline, but I don't think she's an interesting enough character to merit the constant handwringing storylines.

If everyone ends up alive, what is the point of all this. It was a very weird stunt I thought. One minute Zack is in the boot, then he's out of the boot, and why did Harry think giving Zack a pasting in the woods would stop him revealing secrets - he's already told half the square anyway (not that Harry is very bright admittedly). It all felt rushed and contrived much like Stacey's instant exit.

The whole thing is ridiculous. If only Nicola had told Barney the truth after Zack found out he was his dad , all this could have been resolved.
Teddy may have forgiven her.
It’s more around Nic saving face than any of them worrying about Barney ‘s feelings really.
Barney could have refused to go with Zack to live with Whitney too if he had kept on at him.

Nicola knew Zach was frightened of her and what she could do so she was confident who Barney's biological father would stay secret.

For those who have watched today’s episode - did any emergency services turn up and have Honey and Billy lied to them? Seemed to be a gap in the narrative, but perhaps I was distracted.

@JessyCarr it wasn’t shown on screen but it was implied. I think Zac has survived and they will get caught out in the lie. Or Nigel will say something.

Maybe they didn’t have the budget to show an actual ambulance ! so a few sirens made it sound authentic.
Honey was so out of character today! She is turning into a ‘proper ‘ Mitchell. May bite her on the bum though especially if Zack survives all this hoo ha.

I’ve not seen tonight’s but although billy has been a wrong un in the past no way would he cover up for jumpers surely? And if he tried honey wouldn’t let him

also was it yesterday when Nigel said when jumpers was angry he reminded him of grant? Really?

This episode was even worse than last night’s, it was like trudging through treacle. And it was all SO dark!

Honey suggesting Teddy evade the law, give me strength. They hear sirens yet no ambulance ever turns up. None of them seem too bothered about Zack drowning, I suppose death is such a common occurrence on the Square!

I still don’t see why Nigel was involved. He has dementia, no one will take his word for anything over the combined stories of the Mitchells.

Let’s hope Zack has crawled out of the lake by himself.

They are all faffing around while Zac dies
So such a weird reaction from all of them ,no one seemed bothered Zac was drowning to death..
I'm sure he hasn't..but they wouldn't know that .
I read somewhere he's gone in to hiding from Nicola
