I'm very slowly trying to watch my way through classic EE (just up to the part where Bradley is on the scene)
I love Hev and Shirley.
Hev was one of my absolute favourite characters and was bloody upset when she was killed off!
What happened to her son George?
Is he due an appearance soon?
And will Shirl ever come back?

80s unless I am missing something the Lauren storyline is a bit of an unexplained mess. I wonder if she is going to lose the baby. It is really odd that no one has thought about her becoming addicted to painkillers. Even the GP didn't really address it, just quickly told her to taper.

Easties I agree Cindy is going to be completely lacking in friends by January! I reckon Ian will be hospitalised again and that will really set Kathy off.

Today's one was mad. Nish has gone full nuclear now :( I loath him. Ridiculous that his men knew where the ambulance would be though ! .. didn't look like London at all. The prison can't be far from Walford as they get there and back in no time.
His just deranged isn't he!

Think the script writer has been watching too many episodes of The Line of Duty and got carried away 😆

George was taken in by his dad Darren when Hev died. He must be early teens now so due to turn up on the Square soon in a Black cab, ready to wreck revenge on Ben for killing his muvver (they'll have to back yet another new head Ben as think the most recent one burned his bridges when he left).

We'll get a shot of the camera panning the cab door opening and a pair of scruffy trainers or smart polished oxblood brogues depending on how he's got on in the intervening years.
I had forgotten it was Ben who killed Hev - so he's a double murderer 😳

I don't watch any other soaps (can barely keep up here 😆) but how do they compare, or is EE really murder capital of Soapland?

Who else did Ben kill? My mind's drawn a blank. Is that why he's in prison? I missed all of his final episodes and never worked out why he was extradited to the US.

I reckon they'd have George turn up as a succesful wheeler dealer type. Probably under a fake name and the big reveal of his true identity will of course be in the Vic.

Sadly, I reckon no chance of Hev's George turning up while there is already a character named George on the Square. One for the future maybe, though. Unless they do a reverse of Kyle Slater where George is now trans and so has a different name; can't be Georgina though, cos there is also already a Gina as well as a George! (I don't think Kyle has ever been mentioned again since he moved to France for a chef job, right?)

Albert Square produces not one but two people who commited murder when they were children, and from the same family no less lol.

What I love is that both Bobby and Ben were just welcomed back into the fold with their crimes only referenced occasionally when needed for a storyline. The rest of the time no-one seemed to remember their murderous past.

He was sent to the US, tried and sentenced in the space of a few weeks for credit card fraud?? Lol. Surely Ritchie could have prevented that.

Ben didn’t murder Hev, though. Wasn’t it manslaughter he was convicted of?

Oh my giddy aunt, I totally got my Bs mixed up!v😆 It's because I've been watching classic EE where Kathy has "died" in a car accident in South Africa and little Ben with glasses has arrived on the Square and been taken in into the Beale household, with the lovely Jane at the helm so got muddled up with Ben and Bobby 😳

Eastie, they needed to write Ben out of it quickly ! He went to the US to try and save Lola by seeing a cancer consultant over there , but he also managed to use someone else's credit card and was done for fraud by the US police and sent back to do time!
It was a crazy story.

@Shellingbynight and @the80sweregreat people can get chronic pain after a painful event when the initial injury has healed but the sensation of pain persists without there being another physical reason. It usually needs specialist input so I wonder if the scriptwriters are going to address it.
