But why would we want to watch these things? It's a soap opera. I don't want to watch people doing household jobs or looking after their kids or sitting doing paperwork!

Fair comment regarding the ' chores '! ..
It's just that we never see them doing anything remotely to do with their businesses that all seem to flourish without much intervention!

Is bianca still stuck in that lock up? How long has that been now?

I think Bianca went into the lock up around the 11th October! It's been a while. I do hope that Reiss has been keeping an eye on her at the very least , but it is horrible to think nobody cares and Martin hasn't even mentioned Sonia and no sign of Bex either ( or mentioned)
It's a bizarre storyline and how she is coping is anyone's guess :(

It'd be like something out of a horror movie, you'd be absolutely demented! Like begging for your life demented.

I like to think that Reiss has been emptying the bucket , giving her clean clothes and food and making sure she is ok: although clearly she isn't of course ! It's just been going on for weeks now

Even so you'd go mad. Well I would anyway!!
Because you wouldn't know what he was going to do and you suspect he's a murderer.
I'd be trying to find a way to kill him... I'm sure Bianca is!

It must be hell on earth and I agree I'd go mad too. I'd probably rather not be here , but who knows what survival instinct kicks in and maybe R is seeing her and making sure she is ok?
I hope so. It has dragged on for ages

On Christmas Day, there's going to be two episodes- one at 7.30 and the other at 10.35 - hope I can manage to stay up to watch the second one!

I did laugh at Kathy's reactions when she was talking to Ian though!

Bring back Bianca (and her bucket). It is so ridiculous, anyone locked up by an unhinged murderer for months on end would need years of therapy. No doubt Bianca will bounce out of there and be fine within 48 hours. (She went in there on Bonfire Night btw.)

So 5th November , so three and half weeks so far and no mention of her next week ( in my guide anyway !)

I think she has been to the doctor and they haven’t found anything. It looks like she now has a chronic pain problem and is addicted to the opioid painkillers.

We don’t know Kojo has overstayed a tourist visa, he could be British through his parents or have right of abode in the UK. His parents are likely to have held British citizenship when George was born in London. He might have citizenship through them, or right of abode in the UK as a commonwealth citizen whose parents were citizens of the UK and colonies before 1982.

Lauren shouldn't be in cronic pain though
The GP refused to give her more prescription pain killers without finding out why she was in so much pain. If that makes any sense ! That's what I'm confused about , plus why she isn't trying for a second opinion, especially as she is also pregnant etc? Instead she is potentially doing harm to her baby by taking drugs she is getting by illegal means via Cindy, which is dangerous. I know she became addicted, but surely she must realize this isn't good at all?
Is she only in pain because she thinks she is ( because she is an addict ) or because there is something actually causing it? She needs to get a grip really.

I think she is in chronic pain from the crush. She had fractured ribs and endured a stampede. Even though the rib fractures have healed, the pain never went away and now she is addicted to the opioids. The pain is definitely there even though the physical cause has resolved. She needs some kind of therapeutic intervention.

She will have to learn to live with the pain without relying on the drugs which will not be easy.

Lauren should not be in pain now. She fractured her ribs in August, they would have healed weeks ago. If she's in pain that needs to be investigated. But the storyline seems to be about opiate addiction, they don't seem to be interested in the reason for the pain itself.

Shelling , that's what I was trying to get across but you put it better than me.
Being fobbed off by the GP the other week was actually realistic though ! They don't want people becoming addicted.
Is she just imagining the pain now though ?
She is putting her unborn child at risk too , but Cindy isn't bothered by this of course only saving her own skin.
I suppose Kojo will stay quiet now she's warned him off.

Cindy is making so many enemies I think they are leading up to her being attacked and a Whodunnit storyline. Suspects will be

Junior: angry when he hears the birdsong CD as I think she told David she was only in it for the sex and doesn’t care about J at all
Kathy, Ian: obvious reasons!
Peter: something will happen to the baby and he will discover Cindy gave Lauren drugs and was responsible for her injuries in the first place (she blocked the exit at Peggy’s as she was shagging Junior!)
George: for blackmailing precious Kojo
Elaine: after hearing birdsong confession she decides time to get rid of Cindy once and for all

The twist is it will turn out to be sweet Anna.

I've just watched the 2007 Xmas episode. Really good. Jack was so handsome. I loved Max, he was a proper rat. Hev an Shirley double act. Peggy. Tanya. Total trip down memory lane.
