Welcome to the EastEnders spoilers thread, where we post and talk about any EE spoilers we've read about, including those in early release episodes on iPlayer.

Link below to watch episodes on BBC iPlayer - these are usually dropped at 6am on broadcast days - and you can read brief synopses of upcoming episodes:

Kat was so annoying tonight. It was strangely written though, with her completely denying everything to the social worker then abruptly caving in. Then again when she accused Jean then retracted it.

Putting tommy next door to Kat and the twins is... interesting. But Zack is one of the few people who might get through to Tommy.

Shane's interview
www.radiotimes.com/tv/soaps/eastenders/shane-richie-eastenders-christmas-special-tragic-exclusive-newsupdate/

"You're in for a lovely treat this Christmas Day." While remaining awfully tight-lipped on what's to come, when pressed on how he'd sum up the events of Christmas, Richie concluded: "Deceit, tragic and sad."

Meredusoleil · 24/10/2024 22:07

I think it was a step too far when Kat kicked Alfie out of the flat too. I thought it was his place anyway?!?

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 24/10/2024 22:27

Did my Thursday Catch Up

When Ravi grabbed hold of Barney , he looked up ....to the only CCTV camera in the Entire Square

Shellingbynight · 25/10/2024 08:15

haha that is so true! Lucky the Six weren't dragging the body that way 😆

I thought both Kat and Ravi behaved in really hyped up ways this week for the sake of the plot.

the80sweregreat · 25/10/2024 11:07

Shelling
Zac looked pleased to finally have a plot line to work with I thought

Shellingbynight · 25/10/2024 13:22

I agree, he hasn't had much to do since WhitWhit left. I like Zac.

Maybe they find Micks body and it’s his funeral. Linda could have not been able to handle going to it and went on a massive bender instead??

That's very possible, although why would Sharon go when she wasn't close to him? Maybe in place of Linda?

But I still think it's Linda who dies in December - it closes The Six story and then the writers can move onto something big and new in time for the 40th anniversary in February. Also It would be 'an eye for an eye' - Keanu unnecessarily died and so will Linda. So symmetry, justice and closure.

Shellingbynight · 25/10/2024 14:23

There would be nothing left of Mick's body after two years in the sea. They could in theory find a skeleton but still unlikely. But EastEnders aren't really concerned with those type of facts, they just placed a violent adolescent with a foster carer next door to his victims.

Anyonecanfallinlove · 25/10/2024 14:30

It does look like Linda's funeral but is that a set up? Like the Keanu airport photos.
I'm not bothered if she does or doesn't die. I certainly don't think her dying is justice though and I don't think it gives any extra closure on the 6 storyline. The 6 storyline had so much potetntial but was badly written and executed

Shellingbynight · 25/10/2024 15:09

I agree I wouldn't see Linda dying as 'justice'. She has had so much grief in her life already, and she killed Ken to save Sharon. The storyline has been a bit of a mess because there are so many characters and components, and justice would be impossible without culling half the cast.

Anyonecanfallinlove · 25/10/2024 15:41

I think it was the aftermath the eastenders team got wrong. The cover up wasn't exactly strong and it all became laughable but it also complicated other characters and storylines. It's quite a mess when really all they needed was cctv. The 6 story should have been simple, they had some of the best actors working on it, they should have focused on that

Southeastdweller · 25/10/2024 15:49

She didn't need to kill Keanu to save Sharon, so for me if she dies it will be some fairness. Plus she's annoying and a bit of a shit mum. I think the character has been through a lot - possibly too much - in 11 years and is pretty much exhausted now.

I think the writers tied themselves in knots a bit in the aftermath, but with Linda's likely permanent exit, it will all be over. None of the others are going to confess because that would mean they all go to jail.

She'll only be dead if we see her body. Otherwise she'll just be soap dead, and we all know what that means.😬

Precisely. Room to come back..
Although they have abused that privilege with three characters already , so goodness knows ..

Eastie77Returns · 25/10/2024 23:06

Maybe Mick reappears for a Xmas day cameo and L disappears into the sunset with him, Ollie & Annie. She has been through so much in the last few years it’s hard to see what else they can do with her. She’s a bit part in the Vic now, everyone refers to Elaine & George as the landlady and landlord.

It’s baffling that Zack is an approved foster carer given his criminal past, steroid addiction etc. But Whitney was allowed to whisk Britney off to another city and live with her brother, no DBS checks needed, so there you go.

Anyonecanfallinlove · 25/10/2024 23:30

I can't see the justice in them killing Linda off due to Ollie and Annie. I know she's been an awful mum but then I don't see any different on the square, they are all awful parents. The kids only get carted out for special occasions and to give a sob story so the parents don't go to prison.
I don't believe in an eye for an eye in any situation though because that never ends. Maybe Bernie comes back and is somehow to blame for Linda dying, then what will the justice be because that is premeditated. Linda didn't plan to kill Keanu, it was an awful accident from heightened emotions in an unprecedented situation. It's sad really because it really could have been written better

the80sweregreat · 26/10/2024 08:09

The six should have fessed up on Christmas Day and Linda would probably be out of prison by now (or something like that anyway !)
She should have gone for Keanu's leg or arm. Kept him alive at least.
I wish that Nish had died instead that night. Suki kept him going !

the80sweregreat · 26/10/2024 08:18

There's ' poetic license ' with writing anything and then there is ' eastenders poetic license ' with anything to do with the law , rules , the authorities or just about anything to be honest. lol
(I'm still a fan though , but I do wonder why sometimes )

Shellingbynight · 26/10/2024 08:26

I suppose justice would be Linda going to jail for two years, out in one. Then she has 'paid' but not overpaid for what happened (she thinks she deserves punishment and that would probably ease her guilt). The others should be in jail with her though (including Johnny and Jack). So justice is never going to happen, and Linda dying would just be... Linda dying.

We know that next week this happens. How is this man even still alive?!

the80sweregreat · 26/10/2024 08:30

Jack is slippery than soap and never seems to be caught out much! I'm hoping that the recent Harry and Penny combo might bring him down but he has form for evading justice.
Johnny could just disappear back to Manchester and deny knowing anything about Ken's demise.
Some characters seem to get away with a lot.

Eastie77Returns · 27/10/2024 08:27

I’ve complained about this before and I know it’s a small thing but it annoys when characters who’ve know each other 5 minutes describe themselves as best friends. This week Avani was wailing about losing her best friend Barney which is ridiculous as they met about a month ago?! A couple of 5 year olds might quickly say they are besties but not a teenage girl and boy.

I can’t believe the Panesar grandchild is still staying with them, happy as Larry in a house full of people he’s never met before and not crying for his mum.

the80sweregreat · 27/10/2024 10:38

I know eastie ! Best friends within a few weeks
Like most things on EE , it doesn't make too much sense lol
The grandchild is being so good isn't he.
As if that would be the case in real life

I thought the same with Avani and Barney being best friends, not believable.

the80sweregreat · 27/10/2024 11:58

Avani wouldn't be friends with Barney in real life.
I bet this Nicola Mitchell appears in a few weeks time
She will probably move in somewhere with her one bag and cause havoc! As they all do eventually

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 27/10/2024 12:11

Maybe Nish has been sloping off to visit his grandson which is why his mum let him visit the Square as she knows Nish is dying and wants the little boy to get his share of the inheritance get to know his family .
But she will never forgive Suki for throwing Jags under the bus to save Precious Vinny .

No=one would notice or care if Nish made trips up to see the grandchild , just relieved he had gone AWOL a while .
