I'm really confused by today's episode regarding Nish. I guessed there would be something going on, I actually thought he was setting Suki up to confess and be arrested. I don't understand who the guy was, why Nish was paying him and how Nish got this all sorted. So many plot holes

Nish said he arranged Ken's killing by paying 'his men' to do it, so presumably the police are seeking out 'his men'? I haven't seen today's would that make sense?

I meant to say yesterday, Ian's angina was dealt with very fast wasn't it. No one even saw the ambulance arrive in the Square. I suppose it's setting him up to collapse during the reveal of Cindy and Junior on xmas day.

No I don't think that's what's happening with Nish. In today's, Suki gets a call to say Nish is in hospital and is requesting to see her in his final hours. She arrives and a man tells her Nish has 24 hours. She goes in, has words with Nish and leaves. The man then goes in and takes off the hospital equipment that Nish has on, they discuss payment and what Nish wants to do, then it ends.
It can't be that he has struck a deal to get Suki to confess because he wouldn't need to pay the man for that. I don't understand how he has been able to set this up

I suppose Nish spent a long time in jail previously so knows all the ways to abuse the system? That sounds like his usual manipulation of Suki. He was complaining yesterday that she hadn't visited. But what next, since he isn't going to die (although tbh he looked very unwell yesterday when he was on the phone).

The words 'it's going to be the best Christmas ever' have been uttered by Ian. This means it's not, and I reckon he's going to have a heart attack and die when he finds out about Cindy and Junior.

The other thing that’s very unrealistic re. the hospital is that Kojo is not a U.K. or even EU citizen, he has basically overstayed a tourist visa (although that has all been glossed over) and there’s been no mention of the Knights having to pay for his treatment which they would have to do under those circumstances.

EE Christmas tree is more impressive than the one in Trafalgar Square!

Why isn't anyone saying 'I don't have anything to play a CD on' because that's what I would say.

The writers haven’t given much thought about the birdsong CD’s - it’s just a way to set up the Cindy and Junior reveal because their conversation will have accidentally been recorded onto one of those CD’s and someone will play it on Christmas Day.

If Cindy has bought one then no doubt she will have forgotten to buy Ian a present, gives him that as a last minute gift and he will put it on while they are having their Christmas dinner

Cindy was distracted today and Freddie is persuasive.
So, Nish will spoil the wedding :(
Dh has a theory that Eve will die as they are far too happy now! Hope not though.
I'm sure I saw a CD player in the Vic and at Ian's place

IRL Freddie and Anna would have done some editing before releasing the birdsong and so would have heard Cindy’s conversation??

And yep, as a PP pointed out, no-one in this day and age has a device you can play a CD on…

Junior buys 3 copies from Anna too.

Surely she's still being scammed?

She's been called back by someone pretending to be a solicitor from the number the police gave and has asked her to pay money upfront to get all her money back.

That's a scam artist follow up to someone already identified as a mark.

She’s still being scammed, yep, and it’s ridiculous that even when she knows about the initial scam, she and Stacey think a solicitor asking for money is a legit way for a solicitor to do business!

I’ve also got a bad feeling about Eve - there’s someone who usually dies on New Year’s Day and I expect that this time round that person will be Eve.

I wasn’t expecting the twist at the end today about the dodgy doctor.

How did Nish organize that one ?

Christmas predictions :
The birdsong will be become mixed up with a mixed music CD that Elaine did for George once to remember their first meeting in Marbs and be played in the Vic ( is my prediction )
Ian will have a heart attack
Junior will go back to Dubai
Bianca will be found ( one day !)
.. No mention of her next week in my tv guide
It all seems to be about Linda / Sharon jumpers and Nicola who hates that they are an ' item ' now and might buy matching Christmas jumpers.
