Following on from the last thread, that started in late April 2024.

Joel's the baddie, and Lauren is still missing
Roy's a free man, and Carla and Swain are close to kissing
Will Bethany quit moaning, she does it all the time!
Sarah is still hot, but needs to slow down on the wine

Leanne's missing too, has that cult bloke kidnapped her then?
And where are the quads, does anyone ever see them?
Paul's still alive, hanging on and on in there
Cop Kit's a bit tasty but a bit annoying and hard to bear

Not much with the Platts or the Barlows or The Rovers
Carla's pub money being stolen by Jenny and Daisy has been glossed over
Adam still has his wacky hair that's a bit greasy
Daniel's still boring, yet the cutest girls to him come easy

The school bully storyline has eased off a bit
So Maria can chill - and Sarah can get off with Kit
I hope it's OK for me to start this new thread my friends
I wonder where we'll be at when this thread ends?

I agree about DeeDee, she's a feisty solicitor who is excellent at her job, a proper role model! But lately, apart from the Roy case, she's not been seen at work. How do her and Adam (and, where is he these days?) make any money??

She did develop a lovely friendship with Paul but she didn't feature in his "last day out".

I guess it's all about filming schedules now, a block of actors films many scenes but there's little interaction between characters anymore.

We haven't been in the paper shop for a long while. Nor the kebab shop or medical centre. Lots of people we haven't seen (Fizz, Gail, Brian). The flow is odd and seems off!

I find it odd that Dee-Dee is a solicitor but is down grading her wedding because they don't have any money
Well Joel probably doesn't but they live in a tiny flat, she live with her parents previously and was working in the US

Yes you would think DeeDee would be well off, she never goes anywhere to spend all that money she earned. Although she does spend a lot of money on those lovely clothes 😄 It depressing how they get a really good character like DeeDee then wring the life out of her.

I agree the flow feels so off these days. In the old days there were so many scenes in t'Cabin and Audrey's. And there were always regular cast at the bar in the Rovers just buying a pint/V&T and passing a few comments. Nowadays it seems drained of all life.

Surely Stefan also committed burglary by gaining entry on false pretences and searching Kevin's house to steal the phone. I thought the whole boring storyline had been put to bed.

I find it odd that Dee-Dee was supposedly a high flying lawyer in the US but is now working and living in a back street in Manchester..

what was on the box Joel had?

All the shops looked deserted tonight. I wish Stefan and Joel would meet with a nasty accident.

I was interested in Fizz making crispy pancakes for tea

That was a terrible episode even by Corrie’s recent standards.

Too much Beth (any amount of Beth is too much). And Glenda again. They seem to be allergic to showing Jenny behind the bar.

Well done to the poster who thought it was Jack who set fire to Stefan. This storyline makes me want to gouge my eyes out. The only saving grace is Debbie. (My gran used to say ‘doolally tap’.)

Joel and Lauren are going round in ever decreasing circles. Oh dear is he having an attack of conscience? I'm sure he'll get over it. I thought Uncle Steven was Corrie's worst villain but I was wrong.

So Alina is going to return with baby Pop. It was only a matter of time.

I want Jenny and the smouldering looks between Daniel and Daisy. I want David and Gail. I want terrible Hope. I want Heorge and Todd. I want Tracey luv.

When was Alina mentioned? I missed that

I didn't notice it either. Was she mentioned? Or is it yet another spoiler?

It was a conversation with fizz about Alina returning to give evidence against people traffickers. Fizz wanted to tell Tyrone but he had to go for a nap.

She was mentioned in the cafe when Debbie gave Fiz the paper about the Romanian gang and she said something about her maybe coming back to testify I think

Shows how boring that episode was! I'd clearly switched off. Mentally that is.

Def in the cafe, and the adults tried hard to get rid of the child present - was it Hope ? as I guess they didn't want her hearing/knowing/telling Tyrone

Alina was mentioned a couple of times. First of all by Rita and Debbie when they saw news of the trial in the newspaper (that was when they tried to get shot of Hope from the cafe so she didn't hear about it), and then again later someone said to Fizz she should tell Tyrone about it. She was clearly up the duff when she left so presumably there will be Baby Pop. So not a spoiler.

I need to use finds my phone at least a couple of times a week in my own home. I just need a Stefan with his superpowers. Least they didn’t leave the evidence on the window sill like they on a recent episode of Emmerdale

We recently got rid of our landline because it was only ever plugged in for me to call my phone. Then the laptop fixing scam people would call.
I want to knowwhy we have Steve Stephen and Stefan. Like Jack Jacob Joel Joseph etc. AT least Corey and Mason had different names even if they blend into one in my mind.

Jenny, Daisy, Ryan, Eileen, all disappeared.
I like Debbie and she makes me laugh

Eileen is on stage in Sister Act (written out as visiting injured Jason in Thailand).
Ryan disappears for months at a time, I don't know if the actor has other jobs, but possibly it's not his choice.
We saw Daisy and Jenny briefly a week or two ago but they are hardly around despite owning/running the Rovers. There is only ever one person behind the bar - generally Glenda. I'm sure Sean still works in the Rovers but I can't remember the last time I saw him working there (that last isn't a complaint 😆).

I often feel that when certain characters are involved in long running storylines, they kind of get rested for a while to give them a break maybe?
