I’m not a telly addict but I became obsessed with Bridgerton during Covid times. I love the casting, the settings, the dances, the music, the yearning, and the guarantee of a happy ending.

I’m embarrassed to admit how much I love it in real life because it’s so shallow.

Is anyone else planning to binge watch season 3 when it’s released next Thursday? If so, can we set up a MN support group please?

motheronthedancefloor · 16/05/2024 07:58

I will be working watching today.

WhatICallMyUsername · 16/05/2024 08:33

Bah I've watched 30 minutes and now school run is calling!

AutumnNymph · 16/05/2024 08:39

Starting now!

BigGlassHouseWithAView · 16/05/2024 08:41

Glad to find this thread! My partner has brought me breakfast in bed and laughed at how happy I am that series 3 is finally here. 🤣 I’m 20 minutes into episode 1.

SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER

love the song they have chosen, when Penelope enters the ballroom after her make over
Very fitting, brilliant.

minou123 · 16/05/2024 11:00

Also loving the humour from the Featheringtons.

I've just started episode 3. I can't stop watching!

Baby and I are both sick so we're having lovely skin to skin under the duvet on the sofa!

Outandabout43 · 16/05/2024 12:22

Love it. Although probably should not of read the book before hand.

Allywill · 16/05/2024 12:26

It’s not on my Netflix only showing season 1-2!!!!

Mine looked like it’s not showing, but if I go into season 2 and then scroll down the episodes, then season 3 is there at the end of season 2. Hope it’s the same for you, 🤞

BigGlassHouseWithAView · 16/05/2024 12:37

I’ve watched them all. Really enjoyed it. Can’t say anything as don’t want to spoil it for anyone else. Another month til the next episodes. 😭

I may be in the minority but I hated series 2. I've read the books so I know why they changed the plot (because it was so similar to the first story) but it was a ludicrous plot.

I'm looking forward to Penelope and Colin and from the clips I've seen there seems to be chemistry between the leads. Not sure how closely they will stick to the book as Colin is a bit of an arse in the book plot

I've read all the books, and all the men are arses at some point. In the end I was just reading to finished the series, as they all get a bit same-y. Looking forward to S3 when I get a chance to watch.

I'm.tryimg not to spoil it.

But 😁 I'm pleased I've watched Rob and Rylan Grand Tour on BBC because it helped me understand what the men were talking about in Bridgerton.

When one of Colin friend said "my bear-leader....." I was proper chuffed that I knew what that was 😁

Fulshaw · 16/05/2024 13:21

Just finished it. Far better than season 2. That final scene was….wow. Not read the books so I didn’t know what was about to happen.

Stickortwister · 16/05/2024 13:44

Finished it. Loved it.
The sex scenes were actually sexy. I applauded at the end even though I watched it alone. I'm now pissed I have to wait another 4 w for next episode

neverclockwatching · 16/05/2024 15:04

Finished it
Poorly today so just huddled down watching it
It's excellent but I am annoyed that they have prevented a full binge

Also spoiler
Given they have sort of done Francesca story in this series, do we think they will go Benedict or Elosie next ?

Outandabout43 · 16/05/2024 15:08

Well francesca is already married prior to collin and pens engagement, benidict is also marked prior to francesca and elouise's story starts just as pen and colling get engaged, so who knows 🤷‍♀️

GehenBier · 16/05/2024 15:08

Trying to pace myself. Just finished episode 2. I have so looked forward to this and so glad to have the house to myself for this binge. May have shed a tear just then, so recharging with a cup of tea for episode 3.

Outandabout43 · 16/05/2024 15:09

Bloody spell check

CalmConfident · 16/05/2024 15:10

Finished! Really enjoyed that ☺️

Ohmych · 16/05/2024 15:18

I've binge watched all available episodes today gutted that we have to wait another month for the rest. I love it so much.

YaWeeFurryBastard · 16/05/2024 16:01

The ending was excellent ☺️. Colin was my least favourite but seems to have turned into an absolute hotty! Think I might positively combust at Benedict’s season. I don’t agree with people who’ve said there was no chemistry between pen/colin, I thought it was great and believable.

NarrowGate · 16/05/2024 16:27

First episode in and really disappointed so far, but looking at your comments hopefully it improves.

The acting by literally everyone seems too arch and closer to panto - previously the appeal was the contrast between campy subject matter and style, and the amazing acting.

Luke Newton and Penelope Featherington don’t just have zero chemistry but something about them as a pair is actually giving me the ick. The actor is too boyish and Penelope isn’t remotely girlish. All seems quite unbalanced, and although they’re both gorgeous, they’re also uncomfortable to look at because of the camera angles around their height difference so I have a crick in my neck on Penelope’s behalf.

I couldn’t care less about Cressida Cowper or the Mondriche, and while the Kate and Anthony chemistry is definitely still there, I hate how one dimensional they have been made. Poor Simone Ashley is given crumbs to work with, while Jonathan Bailey is so saccharine he’s making my teeth hurt.

All that said I have the afternoon off and it’s peeing down with rain so I’m sticking with it!

Just binged it.
I haven't read any of the books. I don't tend to like those sorts of books but I'm thinking I might have to give them a go.

I didn't know season two was different from the book!
