Following on from the last thread.

We're currently up to where Roy has been arrested for (allegedly) killing Lauren, and Roy's dog has been stolen and the thieves are saying the dog won't be returned until Roy admits his guilt.

Leanne is being drawn into a weird cult.

Toyah is arrested for criminal damage for attacking someone's car. (Someone who thinks Roy buried Lauren in the park!) And she doesn't seem quite herself. What is wrong with her?

Joel and DeeDee are on-again-off-again ...

I'm sure there's a few more bits and bobs going on, but there's plenty of space on this thread (and time) to catch up.

the Toyah storyline is ridiculous and has come from nowhere. If her and Nick have an affair or get together then it’s going to turn me right off!

I agree Toyah’s baby storyline is a bit far fetched, inasmuch as I can’t believe she wouldn’t have talked about it before?
I mean she’s had so many opportunities - not being able to conceive, Leanne losing her son. So many past opportunities to open up.
plus I also doubt the baby wouldn’t have been discovered in almost 20 years. ( unless she literally dug a 6 foot hole? )

But the Toyah/ Leanne/ Nick/ Rowan story line is good. Better than the Roy/ Lauren story line which is pretty boring now.

The little subplots keep me watching too.

I’ve never really taken to Nina but she’s even more annoying lately. Wish they’d write her out, she really adds nothing to the show.

As someone said up thread though, Leannes secrets are hardly secret, most of the street knows about the things she's done, so it's surely got to be a bit more convoluted than simply demands for cash!

I agree I love Todd, he is one of the few things that make Corrie worth watching. He really needs more screen time, and a relationship, he is wasted at the moment.

I'm not sure how Leanne could be blackmailed because as you say surely everyone knows what she has done!

As has been said, Leanne's past is well known. But maybe she's going to be blackmailed about the secrets she's revealed about others?

Do we have any guesses as to who Steve will have a date with via his OLD profile? I thought I caught "a look" from Glenda when he was scrolling. Surely not!

And we all know about Steve's super-sperm! Glenda could be with child before she gets a chance to sing Somewhere over the Rainbow again!

Why did Glenda Steve get it on. I’ve not watched last nights episode yet.

Anyone else thinking maybe Lauren is actually alive somewhere and got a new identity or something?
Other than the blood in the flat, there's no conclusive evidence that she's been murdered...
Leanne telling Toyah it would be good for her to do an 'upload' but then saying she doesn't want ANY negativity in her life so just couldn't listen to her. She just really p**d me off then...but I know she's been/being brainwashed by Rowan. What's he going to do with those recordings exactly?

I think Glenda and Steve would be god together. She would do wonders for him. He’s been miserable the whole time he’s been with Tracy.
Can’t be bothered with the whole Leanne storyline. It’s about time Nick got rid of her. She treats him like crap and isn’t bothered about Sam. When Simon crashed the car she was only bothered about Simon. Didn’t care about poor Sam, who is rather annoying but is only a child and he could have been really hurt.
Gail has always thought Nick is too good for her and I’m inclined to agree.

I agree @Thequeenofwishfulthinking I am bored with the Leanne storyline already! I don't believe she would be conned by a daft cult. She's a lot of things, but she is not daft and gullible. Never has been.

Also, I would like to see Steve and Glenda too. She would be so good for him!

I’d like to see more of Glenda so if that means she ends up with Steve so be it. She has been a much under-utilised character so far. Steve isn’t my favourite character but if he ends up with Glenda then he might liven up a bit.
