Following on from the last thread.

We're currently up to where Roy has been arrested for (allegedly) killing Lauren, and Roy's dog has been stolen and the thieves are saying the dog won't be returned until Roy admits his guilt.

Leanne is being drawn into a weird cult.

Toyah is arrested for criminal damage for attacking someone's car. (Someone who thinks Roy buried Lauren in the park!) And she doesn't seem quite herself. What is wrong with her?

Joel and DeeDee are on-again-off-again ...

I'm sure there's a few more bits and bobs going on, but there's plenty of space on this thread (and time) to catch up.

I took it as , that the forensics had come back and so Kit , as his solicitor had to be there when they told Nathan.

A few minutes into the episode I was dreading the impending months of Bethany screeching away solving the crime. By the time Joel started scowling at her photo I was ready for him to apply a chair leg to her too. I don’t think this storyline is going down quite as intended.

I don't remember Bethany being this annoying last time, maybe I blanked it out.

And I’m not even going to try to make sense of Ovidz girl telling him about Bethany’s visit.

Carla and Swain are definitely going to get together.

Yes Joel shouldn't go around killing anyone if he wants Nathan to remain the suspect, but he will inevitably go on an Uncle Steven type killing spree. Hopefully starting with Bethany, but we all know she isn't going to die.

I think I now see why we had the apparently random nonsense last week with Swain crying in the car about her rebellious teenage daughter. Once the daughter is installed in t'factreh for work experience, she will no doubt be spotted by Joel as just the type he likes to torture.

And the Steven story line had such a crap ending too 😞

@LadyWhistledownMarkTwo I had to struggle to think what it was! But he was run over by Peter wasn't he, causing Peter's crisis of conscience and exit. The whole Uncle Steven storyline was awful. They can't write a good villain any more.

That’s it. I’d been hoping for a good trial and seeing him go down for what he did. As it is, all we got was him being run over 🙄 The whole Jenny and Daisy nicking the money he stole was a bit rubbish as well.

Yes that was rubbish I agree. As was the resolution, within weeks everything was forgotten and Daisy is back in the Rovers. I suppose they've got worse things to worry about what with the influx of murderers and sex offenders!

I've been wondering about Underworld's financial situation, and that of the Rovers. Steven cleaned out the factory accounts and they were on the verge of going under, but managed to keep going till Carla discovered where the money had gone. She demanded that Jenny pay her back, but she'd spent most of it buying the Rovers back, so did they put a payment plan in place? There's never any mention of it. And when Gary wanted to sell the Underworld building where did Carla get the money to buy it from him?

In effect, Carla has bought a pub and a factory building whilst having no capital!

I quite like Bethany at least she's not as drippy as her mother.

What's the obsession with murderers in Corrie? We have had so many over the years. I should think every home in the street has housed a murderer or victim!

I know right. Same in other soaps. Sooooo many murderers, gangsters, criminals, and drug dealers etc in such a small space! 😆

Although... this IS the same place where long lost family members (some who no-one ever knew existed til 5 minutes ago,) roll up and get a place to live (in the street,) and a job, within 48 hours of turning up! 😂 Oh, and they are in a relationship with someone who lives within 50 yards of them, within a few weeks!

I'm watching an old gogglebox and it was an episode of corrie where Stephen drank the lsd instead of Carla. I was in hysterics, hadn't seen that as I was on holiday at the time.

I do feel like they are setting up Carla and Swain, even though Carla’s never shown any interest in women romantically, as far as I can recall.
It will be interesting to see how it plays out, if that’s the plan.

I’ve just seen the most fabulous clip on Facebook of the guy who plays Joel watching the episode where he is shown to be the killer with his grandma. 😀. Don’t know how to link, but the account is called Callumlill. She’s disgusted with him!

So is Lauren dead? Until a couple of days ago she could reappear but no longer?
