Following on from the last thread.

We're currently up to where Roy has been arrested for (allegedly) killing Lauren, and Roy's dog has been stolen and the thieves are saying the dog won't be returned until Roy admits his guilt.

Leanne is being drawn into a weird cult.

Toyah is arrested for criminal damage for attacking someone's car. (Someone who thinks Roy buried Lauren in the park!) And she doesn't seem quite herself. What is wrong with her?

Joel and DeeDee are on-again-off-again ...

I'm sure there's a few more bits and bobs going on, but there's plenty of space on this thread (and time) to catch up.

Anyone would think that Kit fancies Sarah. She's been single for far too long.

She'd be pretty dead after that type of battering. But this is Corrie, so...

Oh god, I hope Kit isn't in on it with Joel ☹️

My questions are:

1. If she's dead then how did he get rid of the body? He looked to be leaving without it. If she's alive where is she?

1. Re Kit, is he setting Nathan up because he thinks he's guilty? Where did he get the hair from? Is he in it with Joel?

For me, I did need the second flashback memory because I did think it was Nathan remembering it at first

Also, I don't reckon Lauren is dead.

Thank GOD Roy is out, but he needs peace and quiet for a week, not to have people fussing over and crowding him in the pub and cafe.

I shed a little tear when Roy came out of prison.

Why is the dodgy detective so intent on setting up Nathan?

Please don't tell me there'll be a back story where he knew someone who'd been abused by Nathan?

I am sure we saw him swipe the necklace up from the table in the flashback...

Omg I knew it was Joel, i called it months ago! I suppose he reckoned that the necklace might be traced back to the jewellers he bought it from, then lost it, not knowing it was in his car. I don't see how Lauren could have survived that attack, if she isnt dead she would have been very severely injured.

Joel bought the necklace, he lied about the receipt to Deedee and told her it was for cufflinks.

Joel must be thrilled that he has a patsy in Nathan.

At first Joel said it was for cufflinks , then when the story of his daughter came out , didn't he say he had bought her something special for her 1st birthday ?

I’d be surprised if he was but I can’t work out the way the story is going. If kit is involved why bring him in as Bernie’s son? May be there is some underlying scam and he’s not her son at all. He just seems such a new character to be involved at this stage of the Lauren story. If he is involved, why not months ago and just as a bent copper?

Yes, he said it was a charm bracelet I think. I was trying to think how long ago this was and whether it was around the right time to be the necklace for Lauren he was actually buying.

Perhaps Lauren was in his car? But there would have been lots of blood, and if he’d cleaned it up he’d have spotted the necklace. I don’t want her to be dead, but I can’t see how she could be alive. He really battered her. Was he with her at the same time as Dee Dee then? You couldn’t have two more different women! But he was using both.

And yes Kit is good looking (fit Kit!) but there’s something weird about him. Handy pair of tweezers too - or were they in Sarah’s plastic bag?

Sarah was holding the hair scrunchie with tweezers so must have put them back in the bag .

I thought the hair was from the bag Sarah had with the hairband. When he was speaking to Sarah and accusing her of depositing the hair, I'm sure she said "no I gave the bag to you".

I have no idea what Kit's part is in this. There are too many non-main-cast dodgy blokes in this storyline.

I assume Joel took the necklace as a plot device trophy.

The hairband was from Sarah but it was Lauren's as David found it under Max's bed. Think there was a brush as well.
Well done on everyone predicting Joel...Still a bit in shock tbh! As for Nathan...as much of a scumbag as he is, he's innocent. This is going to drag out like the Stephen storyline...

@Deadringer 's theory about the necklace (Joel taking it so it can't be traced to him) is the only one that makes sense.
