Following on from the last thread.

We're currently up to where Roy has been arrested for (allegedly) killing Lauren, and Roy's dog has been stolen and the thieves are saying the dog won't be returned until Roy admits his guilt.

Leanne is being drawn into a weird cult.

Toyah is arrested for criminal damage for attacking someone's car. (Someone who thinks Roy buried Lauren in the park!) And she doesn't seem quite herself. What is wrong with her?

Joel and DeeDee are on-again-off-again ...

I'm sure there's a few more bits and bobs going on, but there's plenty of space on this thread (and time) to catch up.

Stupid argument about Rowan between Toyah and Nick. He keeps saying he's tolerating it as some sort of harmless nonsense but they're haemorrhaging money to the charlatan.

Yes exactly re Nick, how is it harmless nonsense to have both Leanne and Simon giving £££ to the Institute, and then Leanne going for an an uncontactable fortnight's brainwashing holiday.

I thought things were moving towards Nick creeping over to the dark (Rowan) side but he's definitely either changed his attitude or he's planning something.

I’m always surprised how much is still paper based at the solicitors- I think there was something recently about looking for someone’s phone number and they were searching for the paper file, and of course they were lost without Alya’s filing. Surely it would be computerised nowadays?

If it was all computerised Bethany would guess the password. Or a solicitor would have a laptop stolen with an easy password.

I'm finding softly-spoken, wispy, placid, feathery Sarah Platt (with NO fire in her belly) SO annoying. In Classic Corrie, she is feisty and strong and quite fiery. How has she lost her sparkle and fire? Same as Eileen. In my experience, girls/women get stronger and more feisty as they get older, not wimpy and placid with wispy little voices, and no fire in them!

5 minutes ago she was all vampy in black leather , fishnets and red lipstick all over a criminal now shes wispy, face scrubbed not saying boo to a goose so that Gary can ride to her rescue.

@SabreIsMyFave I agree - I'm watching Classic too. And I'd add Gail to the list, during her rare appearances nowadays she's a shadow of her former self.

I don't think we ever saw Nathan with Shona, she arrived on the Street having run away from him because he was abusive. I think we only found out that Nathan was the guy Shona ran away from when he got his claws into Bethany.
