Has anybody gone back and watched the retreat episode again to see if there is any evidence of Richard's repeated verbal diarrhoea? I think that's one of the times when Andi said he did it again?

I did wonder for a minute if Jade was being very clever - intentionally flicking her hair and giggling to lower his guard and try catch him in a trap saying something he shouldn’t.

Would have been great to see her and Ridge come up with a cunning plan before her meeting with him….. then flatter his ego, touch his arm, flirt and see if she could get him to do or say something outrageous. But I’m not sure they are smart enough!

Did he say something along the lines of "we have sex 3 or 4 times a day"?
Whatever he is bloody awful, thinks he can impress the younger guys.

I’m watching last nights and Andi is saying he used a phrase twice after the couch sex brag by Richard. What were those phrases?

I think Richard is very emotional and needy but I think Andi is much the same and here’s where the issues are arising. I think she needs someone stronger and protective. I actually think her and mature Tim are a better match. I think she’s given in her list of wants, but in reality, it has given her the ick.

One thing that annoyed me a bit was that Andi
is 51, and Richard is 60. Maybe I’m projecting but I felt like it was, oh she’s over 50, she’s lucky to get a date TBH. Why not someone 50, or younger? Perhaps I’m projecting as my DH is a bit than me. I think he’s too old for her.

@NarwhalsJustDontLetEmTouchYourBalls Andi is sweet. Love her hair and the way she dresses. Was also impressed with how she raised 'the issue' with Rich in this calm way, and explained to him she can't talk to him if he goes off like that because most on this show dont seem to be able to do that. They either get aggressive (Sara) or don't call a spade a spade (Tim, Jack).

I have totally turned on Rich now that I saw his angry side. Andi must have seen it a hundred times already and probably angrier. If she wanted to expose him she could just poke him a little at a dinner party and he'd do a Sara.

Old Tim isn't a match for anyone. He wants a friendship and then maybe fall in love. I sympathise with him for his struggles a lot, but he has a lot of baggage and is emotionally unavailable.

I try not to make it sound as though he's not good enough, but Lucinda is so emotionally aware and mature I feel like the ixperts pulled a sick joke matching her with Tim, the complete opposite. He shouldn't be anyone's project.

Loved how Sara addressed Tim at the picnic like he was a toddler:
”do you want a sandwich? Or a little snack first?”

Andi looks like she’s been captured, her face looks very stressed and body language suggesting a highly anxious state.
I do like Lucinda but wonder if she’s playing the long game here. Her ability for understanding seems to go beyond rationality, I get she’s a hippy chick though. But I think she knows that they’re misaligned, he likes telly, unhealthy foods etc and she’s the opposite.
She may be towing the line for exposure and a cleverly executed PR exercise. I just don’t think that someone with that much self awareness would be so much into someone like him…spunker or not

I feel terrible now that the ixperts told Andi 'but he's not like that' when it was about bad experiences she had with men. Rich held up the mask in public the longest.

The letter was blurred out in the uk version because it made reference to Jac(kn)ob's ex. It was shown in Aus (and read out in full, it was cut here), but events have occurred since original broadcast.

Richards phrase was quoted on an earlier thread on this (it was shown as part of one of the episode teasers but bleeped out and then cut entirely by show time) :

I'm the same age as Andi with children and if some chap I was paired with said that in a room of other people I would shut down completely and never want to see them again.

He's old enough to understand discretion. He seems to have a chip on his shoulder about his age which came out at the start and seems the need to show the younger contestants he's still got it. Grow up you sulking man child

Not in that scene but she actually is shocked at first then takes it quite well immediately after while on the couch - a lot of the couples are open mouthed and OMG etc, so I suspect it hit her afterwards and maybe when he said similar off camera.

Thanks for linking that KitKat! I think the full offending phrase was "We gazed, we hugged, we sucked, we fucked", no? Initially Andi laughed at his comment about doing Intimacy week the week before Intimacy week. But this bit was understandably too much.

I actually thought jade was flirting with Jack and enjoying his attention. I didn’t think she was putting on it, but I hope I’m wrong!!! Surely everyone in that experiment would have the massive ick with him 😷
