New BBC drama series follows on from the hugely successful, multi award-winning feature film of the same name

I HAVNT SEEN THE FILM SO NOT SURE IF WILL WATCH AS MAY NOT MAKE ANY SENSE TO ME

Eight months after her mentor Andy Jones (Stephen Graham) suffered a heart attack, head chef Carly (Vinette Robinson) is battling to forge a name for new Dalston restaurant Point North alongside her old kitchen crew. We follow the team as the stresses of keeping the restaurant running bear down on them amidst a hospitality industry in crisis. With the pressure to draw in new, hungry customers and the financial squeeze to keep the business profitable, the team must find a way to manage their complicated personal lives whilst creating quality food day in, day out.

Watch the film. It’s great.

cheeseisthebest · 24/09/2023 22:00

Oh I didn't realise this followed a film, where can I watch the film?
Love Stephen Graham, will watch anything he's in.

benoticanarsed · 24/09/2023 22:06

Seen the film. I get stressed when they ad lib.

lazymum99 · 24/09/2023 22:35

Film was really good. I think it was filmed in one take and a lot of ad libbing. Felt very real

Blondeshavemorefun · 24/09/2023 23:19

Film is on Netflix. The one thing I don't have

butterpuffed · 25/09/2023 08:50

Thanks Blondes , ad libbing in a film sounds odd , but may give it a try on Sat before the drama starts .

Thanks again @Blondeshavemorefun for letting me know the ones to watch 💐

placemats · 25/09/2023 12:27

I've seen the film, twice, once in the cinema and again on Netflix. Looking forward to it.

Blondeshavemorefun · 25/09/2023 12:34

Is the film good

OP posts:
placemats · 25/09/2023 12:40

Yes, I highly recommend it. It was filmed in real time so has a buzz about it. Most of the characters in the film are in the series.

MockneyReject · 25/09/2023 12:41

I found the film hard going. So tense. But so very well done.
I didn't know about the series, so thank you.
I slept horribly, last night, and I need to take my mind off of things. I just hope it's less stressful to watch, then the film!

MockneyReject · 25/09/2023 12:49

I can't find it. It has started hasn't it?

placemats · 25/09/2023 13:01

Starts next Sunday at 9pm BBC 1. Perhaps best to wait for a review here first and then decide if it's worth watching. I can understand you would find it stressful.

Blondeshavemorefun · 25/09/2023 13:59

Next Sunday. Took the place of the woman in the wall

RampantIvy · 25/09/2023 16:20

Such a stressful watch, I was channelling so much I was ready to walk out and tell chef to stick his job up his arse 😂.

Blondeshavemorefun · 26/09/2023 16:33

Ok. Seen the little clip shown last night and will watch the film sat

So is it filmed live or ad lobbed ow what's the point of it

Or is is just a drama about chefs
