New BBC drama series follows on from the hugely successful, multi award-winning feature film of the same name

I HAVNT SEEN THE FILM SO NOT SURE IF WILL WATCH AS MAY NOT MAKE ANY SENSE TO ME

Eight months after her mentor Andy Jones (Stephen Graham) suffered a heart attack, head chef Carly (Vinette Robinson) is battling to forge a name for new Dalston restaurant Point North alongside her old kitchen crew. We follow the team as the stresses of keeping the restaurant running bear down on them amidst a hospitality industry in crisis. With the pressure to draw in new, hungry customers and the financial squeeze to keep the business profitable, the team must find a way to manage their complicated personal lives whilst creating quality food day in, day out.

diddl · 27/09/2023 09:39

Ooh this looks good, thanks!

Not seen either of the films (a short & a full length).

Blondeshavemorefun · 27/09/2023 10:36

The short is a clip I assume from the film

Not to be watched around little ears😂

Every other word was fucking

Are all episodes going to be available from Sunday night, does anyone know?

diddl · 28/09/2023 09:10

Just watched the short film & it didn't really grab me.

Obviously did some people though if they made a film & now a series😂

I'm not particularly a fan of Stephen Graham though.

Blondeshavemorefun · 28/09/2023 14:06

I can only find the short film on iPlayer

Not the long one ?

Guess I'm waiting till Saturday

Finding the film a bit boring tbh

The short swearing film was more exciting

Thank you! I saw the film was on Film 4 last night and was a bit confused, but now understand that the series is a follow on. I'll give it a watch tonight.

Blondeshavemorefun · 01/10/2023 11:29

Series will make sense tonight

So assuming he survived heart attack or vines back as ghost

Saw the whole film , I was exhausted just watching it , but it was different and I enjoyed it . [My son's a head chef in a busy place , hope it's not quite so frenetic .]

Blondeshavemorefun · 01/10/2023 21:03

Here we go. Few mins behind

I loved the film, and thought Episode 1 was great.

TooOldForThisNonsense · 01/10/2023 22:35

Film is on all 4 just now.
