We love the Australian Survivor, and am so excited to see the UK one is coming back.

Presented by Joel Dommet, on BBC so no adverts. Dom Republic.

Looking forward to it!

Laurence is pretty isolated now, having realised he was the only one on Caledon who didn't vote for Shay/hadn't been told the plan. I liked when he looked at Doug after the vote and Doug was "aw, shucks" grinning.

Now they are merging Nathan will be back with some allies despite the loss of Jess.

Hannah and Tinuke are both strong players, I'm sure at least one of them will be in the very last stages.

BernadetteRostankowskiWolowitz · 21/11/2023 15:06

Nathan will be jn for some brownie points when he merges with La Nena - he wasn't involved at all in the Jess vote, he was blindsided too, and he made sure the two OG La Nenas didn't go.

@HalleLouja I got mixed up, for some reason I thought episode 8 was new 😅
I love Tinuke, Tinuke for the win.
I warmed to Lee when I found out he lost his mum to suicide after a battle with breast cancer and also lost his brother. He was right to tell off the others for trying to throw the challenge.

TheMadGardener · 26/11/2023 01:28

Well, I'm sorry Lee has had a hard life but was glad to see him voted off. As soon as merge happened, he was right back to the misogynist chant of "lads stick together". Tinuke only voted for him because she didn't want them to get rid of yet another woman. I don't particularly like Ashleigh but calling her Airhead Barbie was unnecessary.

I'm finding Christopher more annoying now, he seems pretty sneaky (I mean, the whole game's about being sneaky but whatever). Will be interesting to see how he uses his two advantages.

I do love a Survivor auction but this one wasn't nearly as eventful as some of the ones I've seen in other versions.

MsMcGonagall · 26/11/2023 08:57

What has happened in other survivor auctions? I don't really know what the tactics should be. If you're sitting there eating, aren't the others going to feel resentful? Therefore happier to vote you out?

I wondered whether Ashleigh was sitting there wishing she'd played her immunity idol. Isn't that another tactics problem? If she HAD played the immunity idol, wouldn't that harden people's feelings to vote her out next time?

HalleLouja · 26/11/2023 18:28

@MsMcGonagall I think only Chris had the idol, not Ashleigh.

Matt seems to be on the ball. I agree with him about Doug not being trustworthy.

Its interesting how the tide can turn pretty quickly. One minute Nathan was in danger, then he was safe…

The jury also looks interesting.

MsMcGonagall · 26/11/2023 21:52

Well Chris used his idol tonight, throwing Ashleigh to the wolves.

He will be very isolated now.

The jury means I think, that you've really got to not make enemies. You've got to vote people out while not having them suspect you at all!

I don't think she had one, Chris had it.

I was confused that she didn't play it the day before but I think Chris took charge of it ? I as it his clue that meant she was just helping him look for it?

I think Doug will win.

He works very hard to maintain friendships with people, and constantly helps others. (He's also given loads of screen time which either means you're leaving or you're going to be there for a while)

Twazique · 27/11/2023 09:31

What did Lee call Christ after he called Ashleigh a Barbie? I couldn't quite hear.

A poodle!

Twazique · 27/11/2023 10:08

Oh! I didn't hear that at all! I'm really glad he is out and sad for Ashleigh that she has to sit next to him till the end!

Twazique · 27/11/2023 10:09

I think Doug has a good chance, so does Matty, but, if everyone else thinks that too they wont make it to the end.

OutOfSyncWithReality · 27/11/2023 10:57

Matty for the win, he's such a lovely guy!

Really?

After the big speech about integrity versus voting with the majority he voted with the majority.

happinessischocolate · 27/11/2023 13:57

Lee made me laugh with his "the king is dead but his henchmen still do his work Bollox"

It wasn't just Ash and Chris who voted you out Lee 🤦‍♀️

Twazique · 27/11/2023 18:29

I think it would take a lot more than being voted out on national tv to humble Lee. He still has delusions of control! I think Lelani is one to watch.

RedToothBrush · 27/11/2023 19:58

I don't think Doug can win. I like Doug, but he's perceived as too much of a threat and they are already talking about that. Matt on the other hand is nice enough not to be targetted so if he makes it to the jury I think he has a really good chance of winning. The trick is the winner has to be friendly with the people who have got voted off. So that is going to put Matt in a good position as Ashleigh and Lee both already think of him favourably and I think hes generally popular. But it only takes one attempt to 'axe' someone else and it backfiring and thats it.

freddiemercury · 27/11/2023 21:19

V glad to have found this thread. Feels as tho I'm the only person watching it. But am loving it.
I want Nathan to win, but suspect he won't

TheMadGardener · 27/11/2023 22:58

Yes, they all see Doug as a threat. Matty is being likeable Mr Nice Guy, not falling out with anyone.

Tinuke and Leilani both playing a smart game. Pegleg also very popular (my DSis keeps asking how he is doing, having once stitched up his head).

I still think the winner will come from OG La Nena.

Christopher will probably be gone soon. His extra vote was only valid for 3 councils so unless he uses it at the next one I think it expires?

Pancakeorcrepe · 28/11/2023 06:46

Gawd, Lee is so arrogant and annoying with his ongoing accusations even now that the game is already over for him. Does he think only Chris and Ash voted for him?
I wish they had shown more of what Lee said when he left, I still don’t understand why everyone turned against Chris and Ash, they were not the ones solely voting Lee out…

I understand your point about being a Le Nena winner. They were ruthless in a way that Caleton were not. It was interesting to see the difference.

Chris will be out soon. His gawping in faux horror every time he got a vote was grating. Yes he has to use his extra vote at this council but I think everyone will gun for him as he and Ash became the easy scape goats and everyone else just wants to stay under the radar. It'll be the tribal council after that which gets interesting.

happinessischocolate · 29/11/2023 22:51

Actually Chris would have been better off using his extra vote and voting twice for Ash or 1 for ash and 1 for Nathan and keeping his immunity for the next council. 🤷‍♀️

The others would have then assumed that he didn't have immunity and gone for him again and someone else would have gone.

That may have then changed the dynamic, and alliances would start changing again.

TheMadGardener · 03/12/2023 01:30

Blimey!
Just watched episodes 11 and 12, I really need someone to discuss those blindsides with! Great game-playing.

Pancakeorcrepe · 03/12/2023 06:26

@TheMadGardener I’ll be watching everything today and will report back. Your post has me salivating 😂 was it a really good episode?
