The dialogue is not exactly inspiring, but there are some lovely properties featured. And yes, I'm aware of how middle-aged that makes me sound.

The helmet hair was very distracting - that length is difficult to pull off I think

It’s taken me ages to remember who she reminded me of. It was Miss Bunting (the village school teacher) on Downton Abbey.

Good news for RA fans!

Fool me Once, on Netflix, coming soon apparently. See publicity pics of the lovely RA

It’s impossible not to wonder why Ann Gallagher is so far from Hebden Bridge. And whether she’s doing all this because of TLR.

Grin She was in a Channel 5 drama recently where she was also a sexy-but-damaged-woman with a dead brother. I think she needs to join Catherine in the Himalayas and steer clear of men for a bit.

RA was a bit too vacant to be a surgeon, it would have made more sense for his character to have stayed as a politician.

Really glad I'm not the only one who thought Anna reminded me of Maxine Carr.
She's very creepy.
I'm only on episode 2 but I've been reading this thread through most of it, getting bored. I don't think I can be arsed to watch any more tbh.

Watched this over the bank holiday, I also thought that Anna looked like Maxine Carr, there was a drama about Soham a while ago and I wondered if she played her in that? I also found the surgeon creepy and the whole thing just doesn’t work at all.

I lasted all of 10 minutes. Was so cringey!! Felt like a TV show built by numbers.

The comments here are more interesting.

Well, that's longer than he ever lasted Grin

Oh God, where to start ...

The surgeon was scrawny and gormless, clearly lacking the intelligence to play the role credibly.
He had no natural rapport with his children; in fact, I wondered if he was their biological father.

I'm sorry, I know it sounds shallow, but she's not beautiful enough to carry off the role of femme fatale, and object of obsession for every man who stumbles into her life.

Just finished watching it yesterday. Haven't RTFT so apologies if this has been asked. But when Sally found a page from Anna's book and Anna admitted it was hers she said "it doesn't change how I feel about Joe" From what I understand, Anna had been writing about her escapades in the book. Obviously Sally didn't realise that Anna was writing about her dad, but did she not realise that Ann's was cheating on her brother after reading it? Or was the page just Anna's general thoughts on life? In which case, why did she mention about it not effecting her feelings for Joe? That scene really puzzled me

Watching this now it's dreadful - no chemistry at all / a 5 second shag on a hard wooden floor (was this written by a man?) / also the sticking to the rules what rules?!

the cushion scene made me LOL

terrible acting
