it's an overshare but i keep thinking about when i see norton in that play in london in the summer and i will have to get the DLR there and now i'm confusing the DLR with TLR and am none the wiser for sunday's episode but sunday will be here soooooooooooooon.

I think Neil just liked taking on the head of the family role, making the decision to accompany Ryan to prison. Taking the moral high ground and going over Catherine’s head. Now he’s feeling like a bit of a spoon because TLR made him look silly and waved him away for tea and biscuits.

Love the way Faisal has transformed from the stumbling, hapless character who Jo laughed at. Now he’s a cold blooded killer and I reckon he’ll climb the ranks of the OCG. We’ll see him turn the tables on the TweedleTwins. Maybe he’ll be introduced at the wedding as their new boss!

I really hope this is the last series and Catherine gets to happily ride off into her retirement.

I'd then love a spin off with Ann as the lead, with totally different, but equally gritty and amazingly written storylines. Added bonus if Catherine pops in every so often as the visiting mother in law (or if they even just mention her retirement adventures, I'd love that!)

Ryan could join the police in a couple of years and then work with Ann - truly showing that he has Catherine's nature and nurture and is nothing like TLR!

PP keep talking about Alison and the double de-clutch on the Landrover. But it was the truck that Catherine borrowed that required double de-clutching, not the Landrover. Catherine borrowed Alison's truck so that she could follow Claire and Neil and Ryan to Sheffield.

Can't wait till Sunday. DH and I usually watch on Monday as we do other stuff on Sunday, but I think I may have to put my foot down with a firm hand and insist that we watch live.

Especially considering that Ann has only been shown for about ten minutes so far this series, and Daniel for even less!

I'm not altogether convinced that Alison's dodgy clutch has any kind of significance, but if TLR goes to Catherine's house looking for trouble and Alison is there, working on Catherine's Land Rover, then he could end up making a getaway in Alison's vehicle. (Or, as I said on the last thread, he could have the misfortune to run into the one woman in Yorkshire who's already done away with one serial killer, right when she's holding a heavy weapon).

I predict Catherine will be told of the escape and be instructed to hide or be protected by armed police. She will ignore it! I see her setting her jaw, switching off the radio and heading straight toward the lions maw.

And then she’ll end TLR, get handed £2k from Joyce, drop Ryan at Claire’s with his sleeping bag and bugger off in the Landy with Alison.

I like this scenario 😁

We've seen Ann go off the rails a bit, and the unfairness of the criminal justice system is driving her a bit loopy. I always thought it was a bit of a risk for someone who had been through such a traumatic ordeal to go into policing. I wonder if she will off TLR in a totally gratuitous and extrajudicial way, and then Catherine covers up for her?

Predictions:
-Big TLR psycho scenes a la S1 are coming
-Catherine’s weary predictions thus far about the ‘superior/know it all’ detectives not doing their jobs/following simple leads will have huge repercussions.
-Revelations about Neil and his involvement
-Nev’s wealth will play a part
-Alison is back for a reason, possibly to save Catherine
-PE teacher is shopped/set up by Faisal
-Faisal gets away with murder but gets his comeuppance for selling drugs, possibly shopped by Joyce?
-Victor takes down the Kneževićs as the 007 phone ref means he might be a spy/UC police?
-Ryan discovers something about who his Father is? (Not TLR?)
-Overall, exciting but less dark than I first thought after eps 1&2 but that’s no bad thing!

I’m glad I never saw JN as the Vicar in Grantchester and only as TLR because I don’t think I’d have found him so menacing had I seen him in a dog collar. A Nun’s habit yes, but Vicars are nowhere as frightening if you were ever taught by Nuns 😂

This made me laugh @CuriousMama as I hadn't watched any until last week when DS2 was poorly and I ended up binge watching the 3 that had been on then had to watch Sunday's live! I think if I hadn't started I'd have been okay with saving them all. Now I wish I hadn't as I am wishing away the week again 🤣

I am re-watching series 3 (having binged on series 1 and 2 again). In the opening episode, when TLR is being questioned about the body found, one of the detectives asks another why they think TLR will grass up Darius - to which the other detective says “because Darius ordered his killing”. And that is why TLR starts the series with the forehead scar. But of course TLR doesn’t grass him up and instead gives the name “Chris Oxley”.

so if Darius wanted TLR dead - why did he arrange for his get away vehicle and change of clothes and ordered Ivan and the other guy to make a disturbance at the court? Does Darius want him out so he can kill TLR? And why would Darius want to kill TLR ? Has TLR been running a drugs ring from inside?

Also - was TLR present when Gary (the dead corpse) was murdered? I am not clear? And if not - is the priest/Chaplin in on it all as he is one of the people who said that TLR had confessed? Now - not sure. Because when I first watched the first episode I thought TLR wasn’t involved at all in Gary’s death.

I think, albeit with some big remaining questions and holes, I’ve worked out what’s going to happen and how. Clueless re Alison or things like Ann & Daniels house, or indeed Ann though.

I wondered that on t'other thread. Failed murder attempt in prison, it would seem an elaborate escape plot just to spring a goon, albeit a handsome one. He certainly wasn't a big wig ocg wise. Maybe he knows too much.

Our Claire's afghan coat is a right throwback fashion wise.

It is hard to make sense of isn't it?

Perhaps they realise TLR could be useful to them in something they are planning but he's expendable?

There's a tracker on the bike & there will be an RTA?

More likely something involving Catherine/Ryan(?)/Ann(?) though?
