Gaaaaahh paywall 😬

FeltCarrot · 19/01/2023 21:05

Apologies it has already been spotted but I’ve just finished watching the second series and Catherine is wearing the same scarf in series 3. That’s some good continuation after 7 years.

At least they let her have a new coat, I was sick of the sight of the old one.

That's not the Sally Wainwright who writes Happy Valley. Different woman.

IwantToRetire · 19/01/2023 23:33

So sorry someone posted the Sally Wainwright link on facebook and I asked is HV Sally Wainwright and they did a thumbs ups, so took it that it was.

But it isn't - how embarrassing.

IwantToRetire · 19/01/2023 23:35

oh what? mnhq has hidden my apology for misleading info re Times article.

But I was wrong, mislead by facebook post.

Hope this is neutral enough not to be censored.

I would have made the same mistake OP. I just happened to then Google the name and saw it's a different woman. Very easy mistake to make though.

I think it’s a new version of the same scarf because the colours look a bit brighter. This gives me hope that it’s still available somewhere, because I want one!

the80sweregreat · 20/01/2023 10:58

I like her scarf too.

JaneJeffer · 20/01/2023 11:02

No harm done @IwantToRetire everybody should read that article anyway!

the80sweregreat · 20/01/2023 11:32

I love a scarf
I used to like Doctor Who's scarf as well ( Tom baker ?)

Threadkillacilla · 20/01/2023 13:07

We're gonna need a bigger boat new thread for Sunday, I'm wishing the days away.

IwantToRetire · 20/01/2023 14:50

Sometimes it feels like towards the end of a thread everyone gets thread fever. (there were some very strange remarks at the end of thread 1 and I started to worry that references to a living invidual might get the whole thing shut down.)

But if okay with all of you when we get to page 40 (I think this is right) I will start a 3rd one as I did withthis one, and point out that still some room to squeeze in a few comments on this one.

I am trying not to think too much about what will happen on sunday - I want it all to be fresh and startling and I hope not too traumatic.

How many more episodes?

Only 3 episodes left 😱

Emotionalsupportviper · 20/01/2023 16:55

I am torn - I want to see the episode - ALL of the episodes, and I want to see them NOW, dammit! 😠

But ar the same tie, I never want it to end . . . 😩

Emotionalsupportviper · 20/01/2023 16:56

*time, not tie

Damn you, fat little fingers! 👿

WouldJudasLeaveIt · 20/01/2023 17:04

Same Emotionalsupportvipe..
Seems quite old fashioned now watching something week by week 😂

I quite like it. The BBC is forcing me to have the willpower I so lack when it comes to binging shows far too fast!

duc748 · 20/01/2023 19:01

I like a bit of appointment TV.

upinaballoon · 20/01/2023 20:16

Sorry if this has been dealt with already, and in a way it's a redundant question, but when Faisal and Jo were planning the murder and getting teacher's body into the car, F said he'd drive it to Huddersfield and abandon it there. How far is that? How was F going to get back? Walk? I know it's not going to happen like that now, so I perhaps shouldn't bother wondering. Did I miss something?

You're over thinking. It's just a new thread

Has the new thread started yet? I'll hop on if so.

OP - I think posters take different things from these Telly Addicts chats, they don't mean the same to everyone.

I'm here to read comments after the episode has aired incase I've missed anything, because I can always rely on Mumsnet.

I'm not interested in side chats about the actors or this and that. But some are. We're all here for different reasons, and that's fine.
