Thought I'd start a spoiler thread as it's all on the I player and I know a few of us have binged it!
I did love this. It had an unusual manic start , but it grew in me and seeing the different episodes through a different lens was clever
I felt sorry for her with Alex and how easy it was for her to fall for his charms.

what's with Alex's girlfriend? Did she suspect murder or cheating?

Mmmm🤔possibly cheating? She came across a bit uptight but there must be more to this and a backstory!

Oooh really! Although I do think that some of the posts on here are a little bit wildly conspiracy theory-ish. Take the Lush comments, I don't think it's got anything to do with trans rights activism. Let's be honest if I go into Lush it makes me gip, so from mpov it's good observational writing! 🤢

I thought it was brilliant. It was fresh, original, dark, funny and here's a word I didn't think I'd use when describing comedy, but it was unfettered. It was a rebel without a bra. Nic was shockingly badly behaved but you secretly know you'd have the best night ever with her. I loved the random sadness about missing the McRib.

I absolutely loved this and watched the whole series twice which is so rare for me. There was so much I noticed the second time and other parts I just enjoyed so much. The chemistry between the characters was great, just sublime. Nic reminds me of a couple of friends who are such good company! So many lines / stories that struck a chord as a mn user.

I loved that every character was compelling even the small parts like Jesus, telling her she couldn't change her wedding make up. Just sublime.

Jesus was brilliant. We need to see more of him. Like his own show.

Loved Jesus too and the way in which he wouldn't let her change her makeup because he obviously knew better, like we don't know our own faces 😂

There was a line in the last train scene where she said he'd been ghosting her. Also did you notice that Alex's girlfriend kept talking to her when she alone in the kitchen with Alex? It's like she sensed something and wanted to make sure she had NICs attention when Nic was alone with Alex.

I’ve watched it a few more times - just sort of in the background and every time I’ve picked up on something else.

I’m fascinated by Jen - she’s clearly a sympathetic charafrrr but she’s also deranged! But you forget that because she’s nice

I binged all episodes in one night. Really rated it. I do like my comedy a little dark. I wonder if all Nic’s flashbacks were not quite as they really happened? The way that the train platform flashback was first presented, then shown as reality made me think she had been ‘idealising’ the affair.

Yeah @Tormundsbeard the first flashbacks were not her and Alex. She had projected herself onto the actions of the teenagers while in reality she was sitting sadly on the bench watching and waiting.

Finally finished. I really liked it and didn’t see the twist coming! I predict series two will see Nic having to bump off someone else to keep her secret. Maybe Suze. Jen may or may not be her accomplice 😆

I absolutely bloody loved this! So many twists, turns and shocks and laughter.

I too don’t see the twist at the end, I got the impression she didn’t press the button because she didn’t want to!
She was so upset that he’d said he didn’t love her at all and was just getting back at his brother, she thought “you’re a cunt and you’re going to die”.

@LizzieSiddal - she was going to press the button but then he called her a bitch.

Then her behaviour was definitely deliberate.

I also think that Nic didn't expect the oncoming train to hit him. In which case he would have been left hanging (metaphorically like he left her) until the driver was alerted and stopped. Ultimately at the very end circumstances were out of her control.
