Was on Friday night , bbc one and stars Daisy May Cooper ( this country , taskmasters)

Thought I'd start a spoiler thread as it's all on the I player and I know a few of us have binged it!
I did love this. It had an unusual manic start , but it grew in me and seeing the different episodes through a different lens was clever
I felt sorry for her with Alex and how easy it was for her to fall for his charms.

The thought of a 2nd series scares me as the first one was crazy enough, but I loved it.
Now I've watched series 1 three times, can anybody suggest another good series to watch online?
Although don't suggest The Split and Mum as I liked them, but seen them.

However, I have a question - what WAS Alex doing at the station? Was he waiting for someone? Not Nic, as that seemed to be unexpected.

Those kids in the train carriage DEFINITELY saw it all.

So was there a police investigation?

When was the memorial compared to when the death was?

If Alex hated the way Dan spoke to him, why socialise so much?

I read somewhere that Dan knew Nic and Alex were having an affair, but I didn’t catch any mention of that in the programme.

Series 2 please Daisy and Selin.

I don't know. In the last scene she seemed to be mooching around on her own fantasising to herself then he turned up and wasn't pleased to see her.

I am confused by that bit. Ollie put the cat in the dryer wearing the cat costume very recently as Nic starts the series talking about how long ago she saw the cat, and it seems to have been missing for a few days. So he sees Nic and Alex shagging then ONE YEAR LATER puts the cat in the dryer? Maybe it had nothing to do with the shag, he just didn’t like the cat?

Ok I’ve just googled Memorials. They can take place absolutely any time. Why are we thinking it’s a one year memorial? It makes more sense that it’s a few weeks or months at the very most after the accident.

The year time period is because the cat costume is given to Ollie for his birthday (a bit late I think) at the lunch right before Alex is killed, and the memorial service happens just after his birthday as they discuss it when Suze comes round on his next birthday. So that’s pretty firm.

I agree the cat bit of it doesn’t make much sense as Ollie clearly kills the cat relatively soon before the memorial service.

He doesn't have to have killed the cat straight away after seeing Nic and Alex in the utility room. It could have been troubling him for some time. The cat had only been missing for a few weeks at the beginning of the programme.

I loved it. Funny, truthful, characters you could believe in even if you didn't like them. I didn't buy Jen's innocence - she properly stalked Becca, filmed Nicola's confession about the affair and didn't do the right thing and excuse herself from the scene setting up the memorial when her presence was causing an argument. She also plotted to infiltrate Nicola's life and fixated on her. That wasn't resolved so maybe there's more to come. I was ready for another couple of episodes!

Might be totally wrong but the way I see the cat thing...

Ollie was pissed off at the cat because of his shitty birthday present (cat outfit) Then he saw his mum and uncle going to the laundry room to feed the cat. But the cat was so 'greedy' that it took ages to feed the cat and they started doing rude things. Totally the cats fault.

Then uncle dies and mum checks out. Ollies birthday is coming around again which reminds him of his last birthday. He's angry at the cat and his uncle so he takes the uncles present and puts it on the cat and decides to punish the cat. He is his mother's son.

I hate the storyline about the cat but it's presumably done to show how Nic's behaviour is shaping her son and Nic feels she can't be angry at him because of her own secret.
