A spin-off from the Torchwood thread where there seem to be lots of people reminiscing about the good ole days of Buffy and Angel and the genius that is Joss Whedon.

I sometimes feel strange confessing to being a Buffy fan in RL at the age of 36 but I love both it and Angel. So if you need somewhere to swap favourite moments, this is the thread!

I don't know if I could trust myself with one of those in the house

spub · 03/04/2008 21:18

Cyteen,
I have had it for about 5 years and think I may have got it from ASOS.com
It's magenta with yellow lettering and pretty danm fetching, if I say so myself.
Slayerette, I bow to your superior merchandising products! Don't think my DH who said that Buffy was real life "Scooby Doo" for saddos ( I know, the man's a buffoon) would have let something that fangfeckingbuffytastic into the house.....

Slayerette, your a woman after my own heart, I had the lifesize Angel and it had pride of place at the loft window. He would protect me from the worlds woes as i went off to uni in the morning...

That's it, you see - Spike was a great babysitter! I swear that if he was in the room, ds didn't fuss so much if I went out of the room - he felt there was still someone watching over him!

just adding to say we've just got sky+ and I've 'series recorded' the Buffy's that are showing on FX channel
Spent yesterday evening watching a couple of episodes from the 'Glory' series. The only problem is I can't bear to delete them, and dh is getting tetchy because I have taken over his toy

(lol Tenacious, at 'Beer Bad'- now that was another classic episode )

I remember watching Buffy and Angel back when they were shown pre-watershed the first time round - they were cut to ribbons! Some of them made no sense. That's when we gave up on tv broadcast episodes and started investing in dvds...

I have to agree, they are not even cut well...the episode I saw last night was when Willow went into Buffy's mind, and was saying "Buffy, you can't keep killing Dawn" when the bits of Buffy imagining killing Dawn had been cut. It barely made sense

Funnily enough I did rant mention that to dh so I'm keeping fingers crossed for DVDs! He's bought me 3 series up to now, and I feel it is his duty to complete the set!
