A spin-off from the Torchwood thread where there seem to be lots of people reminiscing about the good ole days of Buffy and Angel and the genius that is Joss Whedon.

I sometimes feel strange confessing to being a Buffy fan in RL at the age of 36 but I love both it and Angel. So if you need somewhere to swap favourite moments, this is the thread!

Angel went a bit wayward after a while. Though the first 10 or so episodes up till Doyle's death (oh it still brings a tear to my eye) were fab.

TBH (and I'll prob be flamed for this) I wasn't a huge fan of other stuff Joss Weedon did, like firefly and serenity. He has a set formula for his storylines and characters and it just made it too predictable.

Anyway, I loved the episodes with Andrew where he went into his fantasies (with the song and everything).

My favourite occupation at the moment is counting the Buffy moments in Dr Who/Torchwood -Wednesday's "Did ya miss me" at the start of Torchwood is straight out of Buffy (also series 2 ep 1)
Then the Lazarus beast chasing DT down the corridor owed a lot to the Mayor/snake crashing through the library walls at the end of S3, & there was a scene in the library in Tooth and Claw which was definitely homage to Giles. Not to mention the Torchwood episode ( forgotten the title) where Tosh(?)gets to read people's thoughts - 'Earshot' anyone?
There are others where itjust passes through my mind - 'that's Buffy' & then I forget it again - I'll have to rewatch to pick them up.

Yes I didn't like Riley much - at first I thought he was quite sweet, but then as the storyline unfolded he was just annoying and a bit wooden!

she was in the last episode of Angel adn did something pivotal, but I can't for the life of me remember what.

LAst episode of buffy with Anya dying just out of sight of them all

Riley was majorly irritating.

I wante dhim to die, painfully.

That whole initiative thing was plain dull.

Anyone remember Spike's atrocious english accent when he first arrived. Not that it's fab now, but it was gobsmackingly awful.

one of my fave buffy moments was when willow turned evil and giles comes back and kicks her ass (for a bit).

apparently (so I heard) the tweed trousers were very sweaty, so ASH refused to wear them if not completely necessary.

All those shots from the waist up = no trousers.

Anyone think torchwood nicked that monster costume of the old buffy set? Cos I swear I had seen it before.

I loved the musical episode - knew all the words (not just the songs ).

I had the CD, the piano music.

the episode where Buffy is invisible and Xander walks in on Spike doing 'naked press ups'

Is this the place to say I have met all the Angel cast and most of the Buffy cast

And thank you Rustybear - I made that very point about the start of Wednesday's ep ofTorchwood on the Torchwood thread and got told that it wasn't necessarily lifted from Buffy! Pur-lease - it is identical to the start of When She Was Bad!

Armadillo - I have the musical cd as well and wasn't a teenager at the time - far from it DH and I sing along to the Anya/Xander duet when we're driving - altogether now: 'And his penis got diseases from the Chumash tribe!'

Have to admit on really bad days with dds I do sing 'going through the motions' to myself!!! It helps imagining I'm walking through a graveyard ramdomly smacking down demons in a half hearted manner (and obviously imagining a bit of rumpy pumpy with spike).
You know I don;t think there's a male lead in Buffy or Angel that I wouldn't . . . (am I a raving nympho?)

I love that episode Kerrymum - DP's fave is hush with the gentlemen in it. We have the boxsets of Buffy and Angel, Buffy was fab all through, Angel doesn't have the same kick to it I think, never warmed to Cordelia!

That quote of Enid's frm the zeppo episode is fab! I loved oz too, what is it with all these tiny sexy people you really shouldn't fancy?

Haven't passed judgement on Torchwood's newest addition yet ... jury still out in my house!

chrissnow - like the idea of humming that tune when ds is being 'spirited', may have to do that!

Loved both Buffy and Angel, like many I loathed Riley, he was such a drip, if you put him out in a thunderstorm he wouldn't get wet.
So I would marry Angel, shag Spike and dump Riley.
Favourite ep, hmmmm, there are many. Most including Spike and Dru who were just fabulous together.
