How come no-one seemed to think about calling Teddy's mum when he seemed to be on the brink of death?

It's a matter of time before we see new nurse's disabled relative turning up in A&E, isn't it?

Optimist1 · 23/04/2023 07:47

It looks as though Faith's still using, doesn't it?

TheOnlyLivingBoyInNewCross · 23/04/2023 10:02

So glad that Iain gave Jacob what for at the very end but HOW is Jacob not in trouble with the police?! That’s just ridiculous, that he can bypass a whole police operation and pop in through the back door like that. Honestly, he infuriates me - his arrogance is beyond belief.

LouisCatorze · 23/04/2023 12:33

There's a lot of dramatic licence used in Casualty.

Jacob's fledgling career as a paramedic would presumably be in tatters already, after his behaviour yesterday?

His maverick tendencies would probably be more suited to being in non-uniform senior management role!

LIZS · 23/04/2023 13:37

Iain of course has never been a maverick Hmm

LouisCatorze · 23/04/2023 13:48

I was only thinking about Jacob, not the others.

Goonergirl14 · 23/04/2023 15:20

Yes all the armed police outside the shop and Jacob just slips in the back door! 🤣 one of the reasons I love Casualty however!

AnImaginaryCat · 24/04/2023 06:49

Ignoring the general madness of the whole episode, one thing that confused me was why Iain and Jacob were waiting for an ambulance (as well as the fire service). Weren't they in an ambulance?!

Did I miss something? Did they come in a car? (Have the cars featured in Casualty before?)

That confused me too. I wondered if once Jacob had scooted off, Iain couldn't get the patient on board and do transfer to hospital on his own?

SgtCatherineCawood · 24/04/2023 12:35

Didn't the other ambulance arrive as Jacob left though? I think he passed them in the hall

Yes. And before Jacob heroically unscrewed the bedstead they spoken about 'when the ambulance arrives'.

Bit weird!!

Blondeshavemorefun · 29/04/2023 09:44

Yes silly he sneaked in the back and tech causes teddy to get Shot

Nice faiths kids are happy for her

Ian is hot

Glad Ian told Jacob off

Hope Dylan pays for all the car costs

Will there be a budding romance between them having lifts

I like a bit of Iain too Blondes. Faith with him is just cringe though. (And not for selfish reasons 🤣)

LouisCatorze · 30/04/2023 10:43

Donna and Dylan would be an odd combo but yes, he deserves some happiness, and she'd probably bring light to his shade.

Hellocatshome · 30/04/2023 11:10

Jan really is the architect of he own misery isnt she. Every time she gets Ffion back and in a happy place she does something to jeopardise it.

purpleme12 · 30/04/2023 15:45

I've never been a fan of Jan and Fion's relationship

TrashyPanda · 30/04/2023 16:12

Away on holiday, so not seen the last two eps, but loving the idea of Dylan and Donna!

daffodilandtulip · 30/04/2023 16:31

Ffion is quite controlling.

daffodilandtulip · 30/04/2023 16:31

Ffion is quite controlling.

Yes but I cant pretend I would be jumping for joy is my husband decided to move in his ex wife and look after her while she died of motor neurone disease without at least discussing it with me first.

bizzey · 30/04/2023 17:37

I don't want Dylan and Donna to get together .

I like their friendly banter and Dylan needs a side kick now that David has gone .

What on earth would their " couple " name be !! .

Dylonna 🤔🤔😅!

purpleme12 · 30/04/2023 17:47

I don't think they're going to get together

60smusic · 30/04/2023 18:32

I didn't really enjoy last night episode, I ended up ff a fair bit of it.

I'm not enjoying the MND storyline, it's just another neurological condition to be dragged out. Jan is so whiny and down all the time, I think her time is done.

Jacob in the paramedic position is ridiculous, he's even more unlikeable, if that's possible, his time is done too.

I was excited about Dr Max, as I loved him in EE, maybe it's taking time for him to settle, and he always seems to be smirking, is he being a bit creepy towards Stevie?

I can't take to Donna, I didn't watch Holby, she's always seems to be rushing around and a little hyper.

I think they're trying to have her as a double act with Dylan? Now that David's gone 😭 can't see that working, still love Dylan and they better not soften him up.

It's really changed. I know they shake up the staff/cast regularly and some I've really hated, some I've loved and it can take time to get use to new cast but something's different and I can't put my finger on it, all I know is I rarely if ever fast forward.

SgtCatherineCawood · 30/04/2023 23:26

@60smusic Donna was absolutely not like that in Holby. I was excited for her first episode, she'd been on screen for about 10 minutes and I said to DH what have they done to her character 🤷🏻‍♀️

spiderlight · 01/05/2023 07:57

Didn't Ffion have cancer five minutes ago? Has that magically cleared up in time for Gethin to move in?

AnImaginaryCat · 02/05/2023 21:24

@60smusic you know what I felt about Saturday's episode is that is was 100% what Casualty has become - entirely staff focused.

There was no focus on patients- as in we didn't see the lead up to whatever caused them to go to
casualty and just got them from when the paramedics arrived.

Only story that had a beginning was Jan's ex-husband.

Feel like I mostly moan about Casualty now. I'm still going to watch I though 😀
