Bridgerton Series 2 starts Friday 25 - Contains spoilers

It's back. I struggled to get in to series 1 at first, but then I got hooked. I am so ready for this escapist drama.

I'm enjoying episode 1. Really enjoying the dresses. Not really feeling Eloise's acting though.

I don’t think the Duke needed to be in it - there’s no story for him & Daphne, it’s done.

Where are they according to the storyline?

I’m only a few episodes in but Daphne has popped up a couple of times to Bridgerton family occasions to offer some advice and wisdom to her siblings.

Ahhh I spent most of my day off binging instead of packing up the house to move 🙈

Good I watch it with my mum! Last series there was far too much making random conversations and nipping out for drinks and snacks for my liking

I dont like this season.

Loads of changes from the book -the bee sting happens later, No queen,modiste or theo or lord fetherington.

On episode 5 but DH home so will need to communicate with him for a bit

Fwiw the books pop up cheap on kindle occasionally.

5 and a half episodes in and not a hint of anything too inappropriate and there had to be nudity when my 9yo dc walked in 🤦🏻‍♀️

Love the fact that Madonna is being played in the background!

Eloise is definitely my favourite female character, Claudia Jessie is great.

Loving seeing so much of hampton court palace. They seemed to have filmed in every part of it.

The plot is almost completely changed. I liked the episodes as a whole, but think they went too far with some of the changed storylines. Loved Eloise’s plotline though.

The plot of the book was dire, sexist tripe and a rehash of the first book, so if they’ve changed the plot that’s good!

One turned it off, second series are almost always disappointing

I’ve read the book, which is fun and lighthearted. I’ve watched two episodes so far and I’m ever so slightly bored - does it get better?

I thought the first series was passable but this second series is dreadful. I made it through one and a half episodes before I switched off. Too much overacting alongside a poor script and direction. The Bridgerton brothers are all very plain looking, bargain basement Darceys and the female characters are charmless.

Dear Anthony was delicious.

However, I fear the season was lacking in some essential part. He kept his rather divine breeches on too much.
