These are views you have which you think no one else or at least very few others seem to have!

Mine are:

Superstore - I actually loved Jeff and thought he was hilarious. Sort of wanted him to end up with Mateo Blush

Gilmore Girls - hate Logan with a passion. He reminds me of the really arrogant rich kids I went I uni with. Everyone adored him because he was cute!

Friends - I actually liked Rachel and Joey together (no one hit me!) I felt like they brought out a lovely side to each other and actually respected each other.

I did not find Gavin and Stacy funny.

autienotnaughty · 10/02/2022 20:20

@IntermittentParps great name! I didn't like responder. Not seen flea bag, I guess it's generally how channels advertise them. I appreciate they are all different I just find a lot of them (mostly American dramas) really boring.

SantaClawsServiette · 10/02/2022 21:06

I also hated Schitts Creek. I think that's more controversial than an unpopular view. It is rather marmite.

Thank you Smile

I watched one episode of Schitt's Creek and that was enough.
I thought The Responder was really good.

Sparklingbrook · 11/02/2022 09:37
@Sparklingbrook it really is nauseating, her dressing room done up like a child with balloons everywhere. She's so spoilt and fussed over Envy
Yes, I don't get it. All the other female presenters have bags of personality in comparison, and HW just comes across like she's phoning her bit in.

She and Lorraine Kelly must know where the bodies are buried to still be on the TV.

I like Schitt's Creek but it took me at least half of S1 to get into it.
lollipoprainbow · 11/02/2022 11:18

@Sparklingbrook I loathe the way she is pampered and spoilt by the bosses at this morning!! Other presenters let their birthdays pass without having loads of fuss made!

JuergenSchwarzwald · 11/02/2022 22:08

@ClawedButler

I find Mrs Brown's Boys funny.

Michael Macintyre is utterly, profoundly unfunny to me. It baffles me that he's made a high-paying career out of being a comedian, which is the one thing he patently cannot do.

Are you my mum Grin She says this too. Whereas I think MM is quite funny, and Mrs Browns Boys is d r e a d f u l.
JuergenSchwarzwald · 11/02/2022 22:12

@PlanetNormal

The Office wasn’t funny. It was a group of middle class actors & writers sneering at normal people with normal lives who do normal jobs. Ditto the Royle Family. ‘Let’s all laugh at the ghastly plebs. Ha, ha, ha!’

Fuck off you patronising twats.

Never saw The Office except for the odd clip which gets shown from time to time, but completely agree about The Royle Family - it was anti-northern, patronising nonsense.
lollipoprainbow · 11/02/2022 22:21

@JuergenSchwarzwald totally disagree about the royle family, Caroline Aherne was a northerner through and through.

Riverlee · 11/02/2022 22:38

@willieversleep

The apprentice is utter shite
So true. But that’s what makes it so good!

This. I am working class and adore The Royle Family (the original 3 series anyway- not the later specials which felt like a different show for me). I think it's very marmite and you either 'get it' or you don't. I don't think I've ever come across anyone who thinks it is just ok- people tend to either love it or hate it.

lollipoprainbow · 11/02/2022 23:19

@ChildOfFriday agree first three series were best they lost their way a bit after that i think.

I loved The Royle Family probably up until Denise had the baby.

bameliex · 12/02/2022 00:27

The Big Bang Theory isn’t as bad as some people make out but Leonard is awful and annoying.

I love Gilmore Girls for the nostalgia and aesthetics but Rory and Lorelei are also awful and annoying.

The first 2 series of Peaky Blinders were great but everything after that is meh.

I have no interest in watching GoT or Squid Game.

David Attenborough docs are overhyped.

lugeforlife · 12/02/2022 08:45

Downton - looks beautiful and I love it but with the honourable exception of Dame Maggie and Penelope Wilton I think the acting is bloody awful. Dan Stevens particularly bad. It doesn't mean I don't love some bits/characters (sob when Sybil dies, adore Thomas) but it's just a pretty soap.

Ozark/succession/breaking bad etc I want to love them and I can see they are great but I just want to watch Derry Girls or Ted Lasso with a nice cup of tea. Yellow jackets was the latest where I watched the first one and it was just too draining.

I love a good bake off/sewing bee/glow up. I yearn for the next series of interior design masters.

I love schitts creek and I find the love and connection in it really touching. I like how Alexis and Ted end, I love how moira and Johnny have such a successful marriage. I love that David thinks Patrick bought him a hand job as a wedding present and enjoyed it.

Nicola Walker exhausts me. Yes I can see she's a good actress but she's so brittle in every role.

TheVolturi · 12/02/2022 09:21

I agree with you about Jeff and Joey and Rachel op!

Giggorata · 12/02/2022 11:07

I thoroughly disliked Derek and I’m not keen on Afterlife either. I liked Ricky's earlier stuff much more, and his stand up is v good, but I do wish he would write in collaboration again.

Peter Capaldi was a brilliant, sombre, grown-up Doctor, who was let down by the writing and the writers allowing Clara to be so much to the fore for so long.

This - I love PC, but the writers have ruined all recent Who.

Unpopular opinion around here: I liked This is going to hurt and don't see the misogyny some people see in his sense of humour.

Holothane · 12/02/2022 19:46

If Clara had left in s8 Peters Doctor would have much better, s10 was better.

PAFMO · 12/02/2022 22:34

If Clara had left earlier, I'd still be watching.
Justleaveitblankthen · 12/02/2022 23:34

Saturday night telly is utter rubbish. Strictly, Xfactor, Dancing on Ice, The Masked Singer/Dancer/contortionist/whatever, the new one with Sheridan Smith ( infact everything with Sheridan Smith ) even harking back to Take me out, Blind date, Noel's House party, Gladiators..Complete and utter crap. Always has been and ( - with the notable exception of The Generation game - ) probably always will be.

Holothane · 12/02/2022 23:54

I couldn’t stand Clara and the Danny character was a waste of time.
