Watched it last night. Thought it was very good. Was shocked at how little time he served. Was shocked that he never had to repay anything to those he swindled. There was so much evidence against him.
I would like to think we'd all know when being conned, but he really did have it down to a fine art. The shortest time before he started his plan was a month, by then he had spent huge amounts of other people's money on them and shown them a rich lifestyle. It would be difficult spotting the red flags, he had everything covered, from photos of the attack, bank transfer documents, paperwork with the company logo, fake photos, so much more including so many involved in the scam. I think if you meet someone and they're flying you on private jets, staying in 5k a night hotels, most expensive champagne, finest food you could easily get caught up. Some of them weren't even girlfriends, some were just friends. He knew how to draw them in, gain their trust and the right time to start his plan.
Hopefully it does make people think and be careful. It's not your usual scamming storyline, these women googled him and he came up as part of the diamond company, he had every corner covered.
I did laugh at the woman collecting his clothes, brilliant.
Couldn't believe the end with him with the new girlfriend and flash cars and helicopter, and he's now a free man.
