If anyone needs another reason to avoid online dating, this takes it to another level! It's hard to believe this guy got away with it for so long.

See, this fucker conned Finnish women a while back, served jail time, released, right back at it.

Served 5 months of a pathetic 15 month sentence, after Interpol eventually caught him for conning the Norwegian, Dutch and Swedish women who were the focus of the doc, now released and apparently back living the life of luxury again as other have said.

He is the classic recidivist offender and this is actually a really poor reflection of Co operation between various domestic criminal law systems in Europe.

He just needs to be banged up for a long, long time because he is a properly dishonest, cheating fuck.

As for the mother (and the father, wherever the hell he is): guys - this is what failing to impart any values to your kid looks like.

I completely agree with you.
@Peachtoiletpaper I thought that! Was 'Polina' being conned or was she a genuine love interest.
What did he get out of the relationships with the women apart from money?
I think I could live with losing the money but would cringe thinking about sleeping with him.
I'm guessing it was the usual 'model with billionaire' arrangement. . He gets a hot young piece on his arm and in his bed, and she gets to live a life of extreme luxury and glamour which would otherwise be unattainable for her.

Of course, he wasn't actually a billionaire and who knows if she was really a 'model' either.

I agree with everything youve said.

I don't know what is more unbelievable; the deceit and naivety of the woman or the fact she claims she is 31

Wineoclockx · 14/02/2022 12:12

I watched this with my 16yr old dd yesterday. I said very little about it prior to watching and made few comments during as I wanted her to watch it and make up her own mind. Very soon she asked why couldn’t the billionaire just ask his other contacts for the money he needed! If this occurred to a 16yr old then how come none of these women wondered the same and were so quick to help a relative stranger who supposedly is very well connected?? It just doesn’t add up.

@feellikeanalien

I would have liked to have known more about the mother of his child. Was the child really his? Did he ever see her? If she was one of the Finnish women he scammed how on earth did she end up having his child and being involved in scamming other women?

Also the fact that he now seems to be living the same kind of lifestyle but has had his face plastered all over the media and now a documentary and has been in prison. He still seems to attract glamorous women. If you knew what he was like why would you still get involved?

I also agree with other pps. Why didn't the diamond family do anything? Obviously there would be no point in suing him but surely he must have committed some kind of offence by doctoring photos and would he not also be bringing their business into disrepute.

I'm not convinced we know the half of it. If he was penniless and living in a hostel when he was arrested how come he is now back living the high life? There's definitely more to the story than meets the eye and I would love to see a documentary investigating him. I wonder why this hasn't happened.

I agree with all of this!
Whitney168 · 16/02/2022 11:13

I would love to know how many other women he was also scamming who have been too embarrassed to be involved in this story. I wouldn't think he was convincingly living that lifestyle just based on the women we saw.

Cecilie's idiocy is just beyond belief really, starting with sodding off on a private jet to who knows where with someone she'd just had a coffee with. Bad enough if you had the money available to you and kept paying it out, but to keep getting loans is just unimaginable.

How does anyone even have that extent of credit available to them for nothing particularly explainable?! Presumably not independently wealthy, or wouldn't need the loans, so intelligent enough to have an excellent job/lots of equity, but not to see through this?

Found Pernilla fascinating, she seemed to have her head screwed on but still got caught, even with no romantic involvement.

I’ve just watched this. My god. Shows you have to be on your guard from love bombing as effectively this is what he was doing at 1000mph! I can’t believe how quickly these women fell for him.

the80sweregreat · 22/02/2022 21:29

I loved that she sold on his expensive clothes.!

BottleOfSun · 22/02/2022 21:35

I don’t mean to victim blame but WHAT THE HELL was the first girl thinking going away with a man she had just met!? I’m broke anyways all he could ever take from me is my Tesco clubcard points.

XelaM · 25/02/2022 14:49

Wow just watched this.

Loved the Dutch girl at the end!

It seems like such a complicated and stressful lifestyle always having to keep up with the extremely elaborate scam. I wonder what he actually got out of it? How can he enjoy the incredible lifestyle when he constantly has to appease some girl at the end of a phone to send him more money. And his lifestyle didn't add up to the amounts they were sending him. What other sources if income did he have?
