If anyone needs another reason to avoid online dating, this takes it to another level! It's hard to believe this guy got away with it for so long.

I think it was meant to happen in 2018.

The Norwegian woman totally just looking for love, nothing to do with the private jet, the £15k per month apartment and £££. Of course not. Hmm

The Swedish woman hanging around doing the 'pick me' dance after he'd said they should just be friends. Call me ctnic but t was weird to be hanging out with some random you hardly know and his Russian model girlfriend. I suppose the free champagne may have helped explain it.

He supposedly sent the Swedish woman a payment of over twice what he owed her, and she texted him ,an 'OMG thank you' message. Not a , ' I can't accept that it's too much ' message.

It was pretty obvious they were both after the ££.

But ultimately he's the bad one. He took advantage of their greed and naivety and the debt he's left them in is horrific. But so was applying for loans with a fake document.

I find it hard to believe people can be that naive. I have to say I'm suspicious of the Fund page - he has seemingly already got one of his other 'victims' to join him in his scam, so......

@LittleSnakes

I missed the bit where the friend said she was only 31! When did she say that?

It was the age listed when they showed her Tinder profile

Seema002 · 06/02/2022 22:37

I think you need to start a new thread Cathhelp35..

WhatAWasteOfOranges · 06/02/2022 22:51

So what these girls wanted a rich guy, I don’t think it’s a crime to want a rich partner. It obviously blinded them! But the blame is all on him. In some cultures it’s the wealth of a spouse is v important.

And it’s often unwritten isn’t it… most powerful rich men have beautiful young partners and they both are in a complicit understanding of what the other one brings.

Cocolapew · 06/02/2022 23:02

The whole thing was bonkers.
When him and Peiter were supposedly attacked he was sending texts like
Peiter hurt!
Attacked!
As if he was texting at the same time as it happening Hmm
I have no sympathy for the women, it was pure greed on their part too.

Cocolapew · 06/02/2022 23:07

One thing I noticed he was with Ayleen for a long time before he asked for money by the looks of it. I think she said 18 months? And it didn't seem as if he had tried to get money out of her before that.

20questions · 06/02/2022 23:27

Initially I had sympathy for these ladies...until I looked at their GoFundMe page. £600,000 they are asking for! So they want a nice, fat profit, do they??
Any sympathy has just flown right out the door..

turksturban · 06/02/2022 23:29

That girl Cecile got on a plane with him after meeting him for a coffee for the first time.

And then she spontaneously kissed him whilst on the flight!

She said she couldn't pack quick enough for the flight.

Sorry but that does not reflect well on her

BaileysBaileys · 06/02/2022 23:39

Cecile and pernille are both on
Insta, doesn’t look like they’re short of money either
Still looking for a rich bloke by the looks of it
Maybe they were all in it together lol and we all got conned watching Netflix

Ghastlyghoul · 07/02/2022 01:44

BaileysBaileys. That would be a real twist in the tale.

I would love this to be true actually - it's only 2 hours of our lives lost, but think of how many people would think twice.

I tend to learn from others mistakes.

Wow that was a long con I suspect Ayleen was not as dazzled so quickly? Perhaps?

@seema002 i know, i would have lodged the cheque and seen if it cleared before sending such an effusive message of thanks

Seema002 · 07/02/2022 08:13

I would have made it clear I didn't want to be given over twice what was owed to me by someone I barely knew and is a friend. Isn't that what most people would do?

So that's why they did the Netflix programme.

If it had been me, I think I would probably be completely mortified and too embarrassed to tell even my friends that I was taken in by a conman just because he flew me to Bulgaria on his private jet. No way I would appear on Netflix, with all my private messages and photos on display. But I guess if they think it will drive donations to their GoFundMe, it might be worth it.

UserBot9to5 · 07/02/2022 08:16

So, are people giving to their gofundme page?

TrippinEdBalls · 07/02/2022 09:04

I think Ayleen had been giving him money throughout - she said that she was angry that he'd spent her money on bullshit.

I actually think that she had money herself - she never mentioned loans, she said she worked in high-end fashion, in the one of the messages we saw he asked her to ask her parents for the money (right back at you, mate!). I think perhaps he thought he was onto a great thing there and so stayed with her so long because he saw her as an ongoing source of cash (Cecilie was always going to stop being able to get loans at some point and Pernille seemed to be spending down her house deposit) - BUT I think that that was why she was able to be much calmer and more calculating once she worked him out. She didn't panic because she was furious but not desperate for her money back like the others.

Probably living a champagne lifestyle on an orange juice budget. Love the thought that it's all one big con - now that would be a real twist!

Cocolapew · 07/02/2022 13:05

I wonder if Ayleen was getting him clothes? Either free or heavily discounted.

IcyWinterWonderland · 07/02/2022 14:27

The first red flag for me would have been that a genuine diamond billionaire would not be using tinder. Diamond billionaires would be able to find a woman in real life. They would have models etc. flocking to them. They would not have to actively look for someone on tinder (tinder ffs!). He is not even attractive so the only reason those women flocked to him was his apparent surplus of wealth.

Iamnotamermaid · 07/02/2022 15:03

The Puppet Master is even more disturbing - just takes over and ruins lives with zero remote. Also getting away with it...

LittleSnakes · 07/02/2022 15:33

Did anyone listen to the podcast about the Hollywood Con Queen podcast? That was crazy too. I’m gonna watch th Puppet Master.

MermaidEyes · 07/02/2022 16:26

I've just watched the first episode of the Puppet Master and I'm even more gobsmacked than at The Tinder Swindler! Sarah's dad rocks though!

sashagabadon · 07/02/2022 16:58

Yes the puppet master is even more Shock
In episode 2 you hear his voice on the phone and he sounds so utterly normal and reasonable.
