I think Linda is my favourite in Classic Corrie. I am looking forward to her doing well helping Mike with the business.

Linda was a great character. True, they changed her quite a bit from how she started out to essentially make her a rerun of Tina Dingle, but Tina was great too, so it didn’t really matter

Does anyone else remember Linda mentioning a husband in one of her early episodes? He was soon forgotten (I assume deliberately in order to put her with Mike).

A different time —- everyone has accepted Sarah-Lou’s answer that a nameless lad at school is the father. No one has questioned if she was raped, coerced, did she consent if it is a young lad at school. I think it’d be a different storyline today.

Problem is, so many soaps have tried to ‘redo’ this storyline and it’s just never worked.

13 is extremely young ,she must be in year 8 ?I was a teen in the 80,s and we did have a few teen pregnancies in my year ,I think the youngest was 14 or 15 ,the storyline is being done well.

But where were they supposed to have gone to DTD? Obvs not the Platts' - can't be Candice's house as she's unaware?

There's only so much you can get away with behind the bike sheds so they say .

They did ask if she was forced and she adament she hadn't been I think the point of this storyline is that it was two very young teenagers experimenting who were naive to the consequences,it's a good storyline I can definitely understand how Gail must feel

I was a bit surprised that Rebecca didn’t consider the fact that Martin had already had a fling to be a bit of a red flag - she just accepted it. Imagine if she’d posted in AIBU about it?

I wish ITV3 would stop messing about with the timings!

I've only managed not to miss any episodes because I've got the 6am repeat showing on daily record aswell.

I recall Linda mentioning her husband. No mention of a divorce in later eps though!

In the 1960s Ena Sharples mentioned hating eclairs but was seen eating one a few years later. Grenada Television received numerous letters about the mistake apparently.

I am perplexed by Gail's £5k Chanel handbag in the scene when they took Sarah to the school. They are always broke and there's no way she would have had a bag like that for best. Such a strange choice by wardrobe unless there's a back story I don't know about!

Maybe our "Stephen" bought it for her He's done a hell of lot for Audrey and the platts considering he only really met them a few years ago .

Maybe it is a fake Chanel who knows.

Really enjoyed Ken losing it with Blanche and telling the objectionable old bat what he thought of her.

Yes, they are brilliant. Traceyluv and Our Amy could be equally good if the writers were capable.

Does anyone find it weird to hear Jill Halfpenny saying “Mart’n, Mart’n!” all through an episode and then saying “Ooh, even better than the buns in Roy’s Rolls!” in the Sponsored by Argos bit in the break? To make it even weirder, the Bob Bradshaw actor also used to do the “Coronation Street is sponsored by Cadbury’s” bit back in the old days.

He was also Michelle fowler's older college lecturer boyfriend I was watching a Catherine cookson drama last week ( it's my guilty pleasure on a Sunday evening 🤣) And Jill halfpenny was in it which I found quite amusing as she jokingly told Martin when he first came to her room that he would find out about her secret Catherine Cookson addiction 😂
