I wonder why Norris is living at Vera’s when he could have moved into Sharon’s old flat over the Cabin?

I don’t remember much about the Amy storyline.

MrFsAunt · 21/01/2022 06:41

I'm like you Cherrypies, just watching Classic Corrie: I tried getting back into the modern one after a break but as PPs have said the quality has really deteriorated.

eggandonion · 21/01/2022 09:47

Norris has never really lived alone, has he? He needs a nice woman to cook his tea and do washing.
Not like Percy Sugden, hed been through the war and darned socks under fire.

Shitzngiggles · 21/01/2022 16:36

I don't remember much about the Amy storyline either but I do remember she was hugely irritating.

OrinoccoFlew · 21/01/2022 18:03

Didn’t Dev have a habit of attracting crazy women? I’m sure there was another one later on too

Didn't it come out that he had children all over the place, with the women who were managing his 7 shops. I recall that the twins' mum was one of them.
eggandonion · 21/01/2022 19:56

Amber who was a daughter was a good character. Didn't his mad solicitor firebomb his shop, or did i dream that

ChildOfFriday · 21/01/2022 22:30

@eggandonion Yes! Mad Maya?

The twins' mum was Sinita, though I can't remember how she originally came into the show.

Guacamole001 · 22/01/2022 08:44

I hope that Amy clears off soon.

I am not into Martin's affair. Luckily I can fast forward that bit if I have recorded it.

It should be exciting once Gail finds out though! I was doing shift work around then so don't recall watching it those years ...

I think Dev gave Sunita a job because she was running away from an arranged marriage and Mad Maya got super-jealous.

Rosie's got a new head - David also changes sometime this year.

MrFsAunt · 25/01/2022 12:15

I noticed Rosie's new head this morning - Helen Flanagan is it not?

I wonder if she watches? Grin

WomanStanleyWoman · 25/01/2022 13:04

It must be weird watching your younger self like that. I read a while ago that Claire King had seen some harsh comments online about how she’d aged, and she’d said ‘It doesn’t help that I’m on ITV3 every day looking my best!’

I don't think I could resist tbf.

eggandonion · 25/01/2022 15:00

I think it must be really strange to see your former self.
That Linda was awful. And Kenneth Branagh should have given big Jim a part in Belfast so he should.

x2boys · 25/01/2022 23:04

How is it any of big Jim's buissness ,that Gwen got told off at work for having to much to drink?

CounsellorTroi · 25/01/2022 23:24

I thought Alison looked more like she was going to a job interview or a funeral than getting married.

Did Gwen have the whisky to impress Jim?

maisiemoolou · 26/01/2022 16:19

Following 😁

eggandonion · 26/01/2022 19:07

If I drank as much as the factory women, I would be huge and unable to sew in a straight line. And broke.

They are all at it ,kev and Jim are always going for a couple of pints at lunch and after work , Rita Ioves her vodka and tonics ,as does Audrey and Maxine always has wine with her lunch , honestly I would need a nap in the afternoon if I drank at lunchtime.
CounsellorTroi · 27/01/2022 11:29

Lunchtime drinking was pretty normal back in the 1990s but it had started to fall out of favour by the noughties. Going to the pub on a Friday lunchtime was quite standard. Not every day though!

x2boys · 27/01/2022 12:02

It must have depended where you worked I was a nurse so it was a big no no 🤣
I liked going for a drink after work though!

eggandonion · 27/01/2022 12:57

I had the occasional drink at lunchtime in the eighties, if a salesperson bought me lunch. And me boss bought me coffee and a brandy one Christmas eve. Wink I must have spent the afternoon looking like that.

CounsellorTroi · 29/01/2022 14:34

So Amy is exposed at last. And didn’t her mask slip.
