Absolutely loved it!

My list of big house jobs includes 'declutter' in every room so I was hoping to put off doing it be inspired. Loved Stacey Solomon though would have liked more from Ivan on the cleaning.

Why doesn't he just hoover that dust and fluff? What's with the rubber gloves 🤔 😕

Bit of a continuity issue between day 6 & 7 - roots done and bump definitely notably bigger!

This in spades!!!

I really thought they'd struggle as the house was verging on hoarder territory, and so many emotional reasons for it - I wonder if they needed some time to process it all hence the continuity jump?

What was with the continuity?? Did it take longer than 7 days? ( And nobody mentioned the whole house being painted, apparently overnight?!).
Or did she go back and film the reveal months later? If they did the family were bloody good actors.
I'm completely confused.

I was completely flummoxed by the complete change in Stacey and the show brushing over that…

This is what I imagine PIL house looked like 20 years ago. Now they have another 20 years of stuff.

There is a lot the show glosses over mainly that they have preplanned the things they are going to build, the team of packers, team of cleaners, team of decorates and team of carpenters. I think they definitely needed more than 2 days to sort through all that stuff in the warehouse.

I’m surprised by the packing station. I’m not convinced its going to be used. I think soon they will be making someone a command centre.

I did wonder if there was some issue with the daughter and they'd had to reshoot the big reveal.

Maybe isolating due to covid impacted on filming. When was the Pingdemic?

Just watched the Cornwall episode. Lovely family. We laughed when the dad called Stacey Tracey. 😂

I loved it but I hope they don't dispose of Sue's things too quickly. She was finding it so hard and might want a few things back. Loved the view and also the table made from her piece of wood.

Watched the Cornwall episode today, this is the best feelgood show I've seen in a long time. Lovely family, lovely home.

I think what I like is that the team are all so genuinely nice and enthusiastic about what they're doing, absolutely no judgement about eg dirty rug, and no egos anywhere, they just want to make a difference. Contrast with the recent series of Changing Rooms which was just awful, the presenter and designers made it all about them and not the families.

The craft room was so gorgeous, I think they'll get a lot of use out of the wrapping station for their business.

Do we think there is a service in the U.K. that does that for you? Like a removals storage that lets you take it to the warehouse and does that sorting?
My parents are a bit like sue and wayne and I know they would love to do something like that

@ButtonSister

I watched Fix It Clean It on IPlayer last night, a low budget version of SYLO, with no explanation of where all the clutter actually went.

I love watching this in the afternoons! I especially love that all of their stuff disappears 😂 I always imagine they come home to find a lovely tidy house and then discover a pile of stuff in the garden that they have to fit back in themselves. It's a nice programme to watch though.

@batmanladybird I've never heard of this service but if it exists I might have just discovered my dream job! I love sorting, organising, cleaning, etc. Maybe I'll start this up as a new business and sort peoples houses for them.

I think it's the idea that you can see it all. When you see 110 pairs of knitting needles all out there
You realise you prob only need 20
I think also that living in a cluttered world you buy duplicates etc I think we have about 5 torches
We have two wire free doorbell receiver ffs 🤪

@PermanentTemporary @batmanladybird
If you were not on the TV programme but found the exact same experience was available to book/hire, realistically how much would you pay for it? Assume a 7-day experience including house cleaning, bit of maintenance, and possessions removed into a large space then returned to the house. I'm genuinely sat here wondering whether this is a service I can turn into a business!
