Nine Perfect Strangers - same author as Big Little Lies - anyone going to watch?

Starts on Friday on Amazon Prime, with Nicole Kidman, Melissa McCarthy and other well-known names.

Trailer and review makes it sound intriguing and I love the first season of Big Little Lies so I'll definitely be watching!

I don't think it's jealousy.. I think its bewilderment... such a beautiful looking woman.. her face looks slightly odd now 🌸

I thought the face work looked better in this than in The Undoing

I'm really enjoying it. Good cast, I've not read the books so I've no idea what happens. Although I do find myself distracted by NK face and Jessica's teeth they seem so big and white.

Ididanamechange The Mary Celeste-ish one was the Last Anniversary I think. I've loved all of her books, except Nine Perfect Strangers, but somehow have started watching it on prime. She has a new book out later this month, but I'm not rushing to read it.

Jessica's teeth are supposed to look overly big and ultra white as her character's had all sorts of cosmetic enhancements funded by her lottery win. Samara Weaving is wearing fake teeth in the show and has her brow lifted to look more tweaked with. She's very beautiful and a lot less severe looking (and orange) in real life.

I think I'm on ep 4..but spent most of the episode talking to my partner.
I would probably have given up on it by now but my partner wants to carry on watching(he will admit he watches anything! Lol)

When is the next one? Getting impatient!

I have read it so know (I think!) what will happen but enjoying the cast and setting very much.

@Ulysses - I’m so glad they’re just temporary “enhancements” I saw her as one of the daughters in the last Bill and Ted films, and she was beautiful, in a very natural way.

Not watched this yet but I watched MLL after reading it and I thought NK was the only one that didn’t work in the role. Celeste was meant to be stunningly naturally beautiful in it. Which of course NK was once upon a time.
