Nine Perfect Strangers - same author as Big Little Lies - anyone going to watch?

Starts on Friday on Amazon Prime, with Nicole Kidman, Melissa McCarthy and other well-known names.

Trailer and review makes it sound intriguing and I love the first season of Big Little Lies so I'll definitely be watching!

I read Big Little Lies but couldn't watch it as we didn't have the channel it was on. I preferred Big Little Lies to Nine Perfect Strangers though. It'll be interesting to watch, it's over a year ago since I read it.

I read it at book club and I'm really looking forward to seeing what they've done with it on tv. Hopefully it'll be a good watch.

It was the oddest of her books but I’m up for it all the same.

I read the book and thought it was dreadful. But I did enjoy Big Little Lies!

Meh, I didn’t enjoy the book at all, but sounds a good cast that may make it better on TV.

Just watched the trailer and realise how much of the book I must have forgotten. It looks good! Michael Shannon is always brilliantly creepy. Melissa McCarthy looks perfectly cast.

Looks like most of us found the book a bit odd.

The book was the worst one Liane Moriarty has written. Odd one to pick. Hoping this isn’t just a vehicle for Nicole Kidman but have my suspicions. Will watch it though and give it a go.

The book wasn't great compared to others by Liane Moriarty but will still be watching this as I loved Nicole Kidman in BLL and the rest of the cast list is equally good.

Agree with others who say that the book wasn't great. In fact I thought it was spectacularly bad. I loved her earlier books but the last few (this once included) have really gone off the rails. I wonder if they can make the show any better. They did do a great job of BLL..thanks for the heads up

I like Liane Moriarty, but I agree this was an odd one. I don't think I finished it, it kind of went off on a really bizarre tangent didn't it? There are other books of hers I'd prefer to see on TV

I didn't like'Nine perfect strangers all that much'.

I enjoyed the book to start with then the last third went totally trippy I think. I will watch as it looks a glossy adaptation with a stellar cast. I saw a clip with Nicole Kidman and I'm not too sure about her Masha. She seems to be rather a caricature, like her accent is for comedic effect.

I've read most of Liane Moriarty's books and this is probably my least favourite.

It wasn’t my favourite Liane Moriarty book but think it’ll make a better tv programme going into the different characters lives.

I really don't like the changes they made to Big Little Lies. And season two is unwatchable.

But, I'll probably give it a go

This is my least favourite of her books but I'll watch it anyway, especially as the cast is so strong!
