Finished backtracking Series 1 last night. What an amazing cast list it was, I kept thinking omg that’s XXX and having to nip to IMDB to check.

Starting series 2 tonight (due to lack of the Masterchef Final I will be binging)

I think maybe Fogarty got as far as chopping off the head and hands and then didn’t know what to do next. He was described as not being too bright and easily led, and if all the others had pretty much scattered and left him to it with no further contact, I can see him panicking and shoving them in the freezer and trying to forget about it. Though it doesn’t explain why after 22 years he took the heads and hands to the storage facility in a separate freezer, since it could still be traced back to him. Maybe he’d become a hoarder what with the alcohol abuse and had some help clearing the house out, and they just took a load of stuff to the lockup without him realising that the smaller freezer had been taken?

I thought they'd explore this. I thought he was keeping it for potential insurance, in case he ever need to blackmail any of the other 4.

I can't believe I've watched this whole series of Unforgotten without realising that Fiona Grayson is played by Liz White, who plays DCI Anna Cartwright in Life on Mars 🤦🏽‍♀️

Nicola Walker will appear in another cop drama next.

She will star as Annika in the TV series of the same name.

Nicola portrays Marine Homicide Unit detective in the upcoming drama which will air on Alibi.

Based on the Radio 4 drama Annika Stranded, the six-part series follows DI Annika Strandhed as her specialist unit is tasked with investigating a number of mysterious deaths and unexplained murders off the coast of Scotland.

While managing her unit and her “brilliant yet complex” teenage daughter Morgan (Silvie Furneaux), Annika frequently breaks the fourth wall to include the audience in her investigations.

Nicola Walker voiced Annika in the Radio 4 drama.

The actress is currently filming the series, which will air later this year.

Very late to the party. I recorded this when it was shown earlier in the year. Not seen any of the other series but I adore Nicola Walker in Last Tango and the Split.

I enjoyed this series but was miffed by the ending. The loose end that confused me was in relation to the body. Why remove the head and not the arm with the highly identifying tattoo? Without the arm, they would have struggled to ever identify the body wouldn't they? Surely you could have got rid of that at some point over a thirty year period?

Oh and for the people mentioning Happy Valley. The first series is currently being shown on Alibi channel. Should be available on catch up?

Erm ... the anonymous person who saw some or all of the fab five chasing Matthew Walsh. We never found out who that was - and I'd wanted it to be Eileen.

@MayIDestroyYou I watched a few weeks ago now so could be wrong but I thought the crucial witness was Walsh's brother Clive, was that not why he was crying about being a coward? Or the random allotment man, someone said they hid in the bushes rather than get involved.
