Having lived in Jersey for 26 years, I’m loving the way the island is being shown but OMG the women are just cringe!

Thoughts anyone?

What's with Jane being engaged for 6 years??
Do you think she was the other woman? It would make sense in that his wife might be being difficult about a divorce and that's why it's been dragged out.

I was wondering about the 6years-and-counting engagement too.

Snorting at Tessa being cabin crew , you've nailed it !! She's totally Thomas Cook / Fly Be with her 80s court shoes and nasty ill fitting blazers! And don't start me on the LV pashmina knotted over said blazer

Who even gets a Doctorate in fashion, what a lot of shite. It's from a rubbish uni anyway ( I know coz I went to it )

Finished the series. I read that the Doctorate is an honorary one. I expect a large donation was involved 😉. I agree with PP, if Tessa had a hand in the production of this show, it has spectacularly backfired. I ended up thoroughly disliking her by the end. Gaslighting Mia, double standards- your acquaintance’s drunken sex in a graveyard 25 years ago is somehow worse than your own daughter ‘rapping’ about oral sex? I know some of this stuff is scripted, but come on. And the wardrobe? Also pmsl at cabin crew, but then she also dressed like a love island star that had won the lottery (tinfoil parka anyone?) I ended up really disliking Hedi and the fake accent too. Pointless inclusion. Jane seems unhinged but they were very unkind to her and Ashley is very needy. I started off really disliking Kate but did a 360. Not sure what went on in her divorce but I hope it gets resolved soon. Margaret really should’ve stayed off the whole show. If you are genuinely a great real estate representative on a tiny island you need discretion and she seemed vindictive and loose-lipped.

Obviously I’ll watch series two 😂

Tessa - nasty bully, too big for her boots , horrible peach foundation and eye makeup, too big veneers and cabin crew outfits. Creepy family of wannabes

Ashley irritating big mouth. Tiresome
Hedi thought was nice but she turned nasty half way through , needs to sort helmet hair and throw away those long satin gloves
Mia and Kate prob the one I'd like to spend time with the most , most normal and seem fun.
Kate outfits awful yet strangely endearing !
Margaret ok but talks so slow , has she been told to do this so the rest of the UK can understand her?!

Think a lot of the stirring is producers making storylines.
Assume it's a Bravo franchise as as all other RH so seems unlikely someone like Tessa or her husband would have any clout. They are just randomers trying to get famous and it's embarrassing

Yes, what was it with the Hedi posh accent? It sounded so put-on because it kept slipping!

From the first episode I really thought Kate was going to be utterly ghastly. And yet, as many PPs have said, she is so sweet and so caring. I thought Tessa redeemed herself a teeny bit by helping Kate to strengthen her relationship with her son. The giant Alice bands do need removing though!!

Also went what a load of rubbish at the end but will definitely be watching series 2

I predict that eventually Ashley will turn on Tessa. In every single housewives franchise this seems to happen. LVP and Kyle, Jill and Bethany, Bethany and Carole etc.

I don't know if anyone else watched the Celebs go Dating with Talia Storm but she came across as very similar as her mum. I quite liked both of them but I wouldn't want to get on the wrong side of them !

I think Tessa fancies herself as a sort of wannabe queen bee Dawn Ward. Except DW clearly has mahoosive issues with alcohol and is out of control but if you watch closely Tessa is drinking water in a lot of the party scenes. This makes her a whole lot worse in my opinion as she is totally aware of what she is doing/saying. I also predict series two will need a cohesive cast of characters. At least on the RHOC they know each other through school gate/football/client relationships Nothing links this lot together except the feint whiff of desperation.

Tessa is horrible. Also - air hostess fashion: spot on.

Just finished it. Love Kate actually she seems like a lot of fun, Mia is my next favourite and I hope her modelling goes well. Margaret is OK, Jane a bit childish. Bottom of the pile bully Tessa, thick shouty Ashley and snobby Hedi. Ah well, roll on next season.

There is obviously some weird shit going down with her son. So - Tessa does get a pass for that.

What is it with these awful Princess Fiona, very satin.... Pearl encrusted cushioned head bands they keep popping on

'The break away shopping shots made me laugh; Michael Kors, Reiss etc not exactly high end, which is really the point of the Housewives brand.'

This does make me chuckle too, panned quickly past 'Shoe Zone' on the shopping trips a couple of times

I'm watching the one where they go on their mini break now.

Those signs are from small concessions (Kors just for bags I think) in one of our two small department stores. We don't have whole shops for anything like that. Other than the couple of independent boutiques and the department stores, we only have low to mid-range high street. Mike Ashley appears to be eating the high street one outlet at a time so you're in luck if you want a sweatshirt and cheap trainers.

Bloody hell. Just catching up. Talk about desperate housewives!! Agree with PP about hypocrisy of the bully Tessa - particularly with reference to the Tit cake for son. Yet another one pushing talentless daughters a la Dawn Ward - given that she's happy for one of them caterwauling about oral sex I wouldn't be surprised if she didn't advise them as their "Momager" to seek fame old stylie and leak a sex tape.

I never watched Coronation Street but a PP was bang on the nose about one being a dead ringer for Ivy!!

The fashion seems to be based on that infamous series, 'Triangle'. Who could forget (99.9% of TV licence owners) the dramatic shenanigans of the comings and goings of a cross channel ferry starring - da dah!!! — Kate O'Mara!!! I think the writers were aiming for a Dynasty knock off instead they sporned 'Crossroads' on water with 'Acorn Antiques' sets.

Kate is the only vaguely likable one.

I'm sure its semi scripted but I find Mia is always stirring the pot under a pretence of being concerned.
Visually she really reminds me of Tara Palmer Tomkinson, does anyone else see the resemblance?

They're constantly panning to shots of Lady Di style engagement rings. I wondered if there was a department store with the bigger brands (Gawd knows why...who knows when I'll ever be able to visit!)

Oh my you are all right about Tessa's circa 1980 air stewardess outfits. She literally just needs one of those Braniff Goldfish bowls to pop on her head.

Loving seeing the beautiful island though and love Kate, feel like I want to pop by for a cocktail with her!!

God, Tessa is truly awful.
