Having lived in Jersey for 26 years, I’m loving the way the island is being shown but OMG the women are just cringe!

Nothing worse than a self styled "Queen/headmistress" like Tessa. Who made you in charge ? She's plain nasty.

And she's a bit rich going on about graveyard when she gave her wee boy a cake in the shape of a pair of boobs ?

The boob cake was genuinely awful. He was mortified. WHAT IF THAT WERE MY GRANDMOTHER'S BREASTS?

I'm catching up right now and on episode 6. What on earth was going on with that white wig poor Mia had to wear for that photo shoot? Was she meant to look like Andy Warhol?

I got DP a voucher for an animal encounter for his birthday last year, and we just had an email this week to say they're hoping they'll be able to start them up again from March! Exciting!!

Anyway, back to the Housewives! I listened to episode 2 of the podcast earlier and was once again creased with laughter. Turns out that Tessa has listened and slid in to the presenters DMs to say she loved it

We are also members of Jersey Heritage alternate years.

I got hooked on this and watched the whole lot, I thought Tessa was a vindictive bully and her family were awful. There was some bother at the SFA a few years ago based on how she treated the models too I think.

I really liked Mia and felt she was unfairly ganged up on, couldn’t stand Hedi and her stirring comments, not as classy as she thinks. I can see why Jane winds people up with her simpering and cutesy (vom) act but she got picked on a bit at times.

I was surprised by Hedi. In the first episode she seemed really interesting, on her motorbike, alternate health practitioner. She just looks and sounds like a woman in a Harrods café in 1984.

Very interesting read about the SFA there! Tessa started the 'Jersey Style Awards' here a few years back. The first one made a splash, Shirley Bassey performed and guests included Professor Green who was a bit of a thing at the time. The following year was Alesha Dixon and Gemma Collins, the year after an assortment of old Love Islanders. Hardly the Oscars.

I've seen (and taken part in) plenty of debate about the voting system for those awards. They cover all kinds of broad categories (restaurants, hotel, attractions, spa, retail, philanthropist, whatever a 'tastemaker' is etc). The problem is that to vote for one you have to vote for all categories, so to vote for my favourite restaurant I also have to vote for a corporate philanthropist and an independent retailer - I don't have strong opinions or much knowledge on those subjects so my votes count for nothing, I'll just pick the closest box to tick, I'm sure everyone else does the same thing. It makes the whole thing a complete farce

I can't look at her without imagining the millions of cans of Elnett she must have in her bathroom. Her hair looks solid

Yuck I thought that too, pervy comment. Tessa seems intent on creating some sort of family brand with a mishmash of not very good bits of talent.

It must really annoy her that people party on the beach. We regularly bbq on the beach in summer.

It's clear to me Tessa is hoping this show will finally "break" her god awful family into the limelight as the new UK Kardashians.

Jersey Bean is fine, lots of locals will describe themselves as Beans.

The other descriptor would be a Crapaud, which is an unfortunately named type of Toad! Still might be better than those Donkeys over in Guernsey

Some friends and I were discussing Tessa's status as an Aldi Kris Jenner. How long until Tallia's sex tape is released do you think? And more importantly what will it be called??

@ememem84, yes, that’s the one. I had visions of a fabulous birthday party there with me floating about on a cloud of champagne. Probably would have ended up going for a swim in my knickers and falling on my face! Probably a good job it was cancelled 😂 Went to Bistro Rosa instead, it was great!

@Inthelab Hedi is the only one I know personally (vaguely) and I’m really surprised at her behaviour. I always really liked her but she has come across very badly. I know it’s heavily edited but still 😒
