Apologies if there is already a thread but I missed it? Been watching since episode 2 and always adore it... did I miss something in episode 1 about change of presenters? Is this just because it is previous contenders or is it permanent? I miss George et al. Loving seeing all the old faces though! Thanks

SPOILER ALERT!!

I am doing a Melissa style happy dance that Poh has finally gone. I feel like it's a proper competition now  and thank you to @StartupRepair for letting me know ages ago she didn't make the final and I could relax I'm amazed I didn't let it slip on here!

I still love Reynold (and I'm sure I caught a hint of a smirk when Poh was going on last night). Reece and Callum definitely seem to be improving though, and are showing progress whereas Reynold has been super talented (IMO) from the get go. I agree he may have had a moment where he realised he couldn't do an amazing technical dessert for every challenge and bucked his game up a bit

I'm already thinking how sad I will be when this series ends. It's been so nice sitting down with DH every evening to watch and having something to look forward to when the days are so long and boring here. (Apologies to anyone hugely busy and stressed atm rolling their eyes at that!)

We need Australian Masterchef Junior. Definitely. Who do we petition?

Oooh @FiveMoreMinutesPlease - my DH was actually bemoaning the fact he couldn't look as stylish as Jock even if he wore a suit (DH has never worn a suit in his life not even for our wedding). Jock has tattoos hidden under that suit though...I bet Jock smells gorgeous. A really clean and expensive smelling cologne or something.

By the way - what the fuck was Andy wearing last night? His trousers were way too short and he wasn't wearing socks. I don't care if it's Australia - this will never be a good look . It was especially jarring when he stood near Jock. Or Melissa.

Oh I’m so pleased someone else also noticed the hideous suit and no socks! And right next to the ever glamorous and cool Melissa? No no no! I’m sure he dresses normally in real life, but come on!

I was a bit sad for Pohski but it was the right call - I’m sure she’ll still be a national treasure and continue with a successful career. (As they all will)

I’d most like Callum or Reece to win. Reynold will be ok either way. Not a massive fan of Lozzle or Meelsy but they obviously have Something to get to Top 5.

I do feel it’s lacking a bit this series without the connection the judges have to guests and it feels a bit lower budget over all but I did love the ridiculous ott parts previously especially compared to UK master chef this year feels tamer...

I’ve found my people!!!! Hope Callum wins but think it will be Lozzie, obvs Jock’s favourite.

I’m team reynold but i’ll take callum as a back up. Can’t stand the girls that are left.

Reece is the double of someone I work with so we keep calling him the other name.

Someone mentioned it being a bit lower budget, I think that's because of corona and they were stuck in the studio for so long. It really is much better when they can get out for their challenges etc. But they done the best they could in the circumstances I think.

What is wattleberry !? Never heard of it before this season I think and it’s become like ‘wattleberry seed marketing central’ recently. Off to google it.
Well I was sorry about the latest elimination. Agree was good to see Them cooking for others.

Have spent some time in a wattle seed worm hole! Agree some of the ingredients have been eye opening. These are available in U.K. (expensive!). May give them a try.

There's definitely been a focus on native Australian ingredients this year - lots of lemon myrtle and gum leaf infusions, kangaroo etc.

Really? Me and DH were laughing last night at how obvious it is that he doesnt like her. His voice changes and he almost seems irritated when he is speaking to her. I think Reynold is the judges favourite and really hope it's either him or Callum that win. I really didnt like Emilias sympathy breakdown in front of the judges last night wailing that she was a really exceptional cook. Then as soon as they agreed with her the sobbing stopped and it was immediate big smiles. Felt very contrived.

If you watch Mel when she's tasting she takes such tiny portions a starter must seem like a banquet to her. Sometimes I wonder if she actually get the taste and feel of the meal or just the look and smell.

Not a great Reynolds fan but then I'm someone who still thinks that a Vienetta with squirty cream is a posh desert.

Have they done a scraps challenge this season?
