Strictly 2020, Bubbles and no Bruno?

I’m not sure if there is a thread already, please direct me to it if there is!

It’s summer which means its the time of year I start musing about which celebs might be up for the glitter ball trophy this year! I was a bit worried we might not be getting a series this year but a quick google reassured me plans are in place.

So it looks like they are hoping for bubbles between the stars and professionals families, possibly weekly CV testing and temp checks. Hair, make up and costume to be done with PPE. Sounds like they could put on a fairly similar show to normal. No audience though, which will be weird. And I guess no gathering of contestants for the scores, which will be weird. Will the whole thing lack atmosphere?

Still doesn't seem to be any further news or announcements.. I would have thought we'd have started to have celeb announcements by now..

Just another bump.. but still no actual news... lots of gossip and random news stories though.

Anyone seen any confirmation of anything yet? Surely we should get announcements soon.. don't they start rehearsals in August?

I'm surprised they haven't announced the judge yet, just because it can be completely separate from start dates etc.

In some ways, even though I love it, perhaps they'd be better taking a year off, evaluating what works and what doesn't (by which I mean listen to people like us ), and bring it back next year.

Another one hoping cheryl Cole doesnt get on the judging panel. Unfortunately my DC loved the greatest dancer (I loved the dancing but could do without all the hand wafting and finding every dance so emotional she couldnt speak)

Dancing is pretty close contact so there would have to be a lot of testing IMO.
AJ is supposed to be doing I'm a celeb....but I'm worried he might just end up being a serial reality contestant (I've seen him on a couple of other programmes)
Katie Price has apparently broken her feet and/or ankles so I dont think she'll be in it (I also thought she was meant to be doing I'm a celeb for the 20th time?)

If you follow Tess on Instagram she was filming the links with Claudia this week for the "highlights" show they are airing in Sept. The 2020 programme is airing in Oct until Dec for 9 weeks.
The professionals are meant to be learning & filming all the group numbers at the moment & I would have thought that meant isolation but on Instagram many of them are out & about esp AJ.

I saw somewhere that I'm a Cekeb might be filmed in Scotland this year, if there are problems with filming in Australia. I can't say I'd fancy anything involving ending up in a loch in November!

Of course, I forgot he had left, no wonder he is eating out in Chiswick the whole time!
