Lots of talk on Twitter from the tennis journalists that there are serious moves behind the scenes from the other council members to have him removed as Chair of the Players’ Council. Bruno Soares has been, rightly, very outspoken.
I expect a strategic ‘resignation’ shortly.
As PP said, he can fuck off with the ‘arms of love’ gestures. I’ve always hated how he begs for affection, but his real character shows through so often. If he left the Tour tomorrow I’d be delighted. Pipe dream, I know.
I do agree with another PP that others have been irresponsible. The shirtless nightclub antics particularly pissed me off. Zverev, Thiem and co have really gone down in my estimation, especially Zverev, who has been swanning around the Med with his girlfriend far too often for a man whose serve is falling apart.
I am v impressed with the Brits tournament and the safety measures they’ve taken. I do wish they had a basket or something for the balls at the back of the court! 😱
I was playing someone once when they trod on a rogue ball and suffered a really bad ankle injury.
Dan Evans looked good. Andy’s strokes and matchplay are as good as ever but his movement still looks compromised to me.
