I have never heard of Hey Duggee Raahh
Gay crabs, eh? Grin

Mind you, didn't Captain Pugwash have Roger the Cabin Boy and Se(a)men Stains Grin
And that was the '70's Grin

DramaAlpaca · 02/05/2020 19:54

I loved Shaun the Sheep, I used to watch the short episodes with my DC too back in the day.

I bought some hair clippers before they all sold out. DH was my first victim, I gave him a trim and he's pleased enough with the result. Hairdressers in Ireland can start reopening on 20 July or around then - I'll be desperate by then so intend to be at the head of the stampede. I already look like an alpaca on a bad hair day so God knows what I'll look like by then Grin

JaneJeffer · 02/05/2020 20:02

I hope the hairdressers are having a good rest because they're going to need all their energy when they get back to work Grin

I've just seen this:
A pandemic is unleashed by ticks that live on and around the mouths of alpacas.
Global chaos ensues.
The disease wipes out 99% of humanity, and the desperate survivors are forced to live in a post-alpaca lip tick wasteland.
Sorry Grin

Have you been at the gin again Jane ?ConfusedGrin

Raahh · 02/05/2020 20:16

JaneJeffer · 02/05/2020 20:18

I don't even drink gin kazza Grin

(the rogue comma in the "joke" is annoying me)

I need to learn to groom my dog.

He is a miniature schnauzer- looks like a woolly mammoth. Without the tusks.

JaneJeffer · 02/05/2020 20:21

Dog wrangling is hard work!

OP posts:
Raahh · 02/05/2020 20:27

Jane he won't even let us brush him properly (traumatic vet experience as a puppy, he is now 5) so the fact he has not had a hair cut since January, means it is getting a bit of an emergency! Grin. (And he is probably hot)

Raahh · 02/05/2020 20:30

I wonder how Sascha is getting on? He adopted about half a dozen dogs didn't he ?

Fizzywinegum · 02/05/2020 20:47

At least Sascha will finally get chance to get on top of his chores Grin

I’m already regretting saying a few days ago that I quite liked my hair a bit longer - it’s suddenly got out of control!

Did anyone see Graham Norton? Imelda Staunton was on and her real life husband Carson brought her a gin and tonic - I definitely need a Carson Grin

Raahh · 02/05/2020 20:48

I think I need a Carson.

My dh is rubbish Grin

DramaAlpaca · 02/05/2020 21:03

I groom my very hairy springer spaniel outside. Last week I got masses of hair off her using a Furminator and let it blow away. DS told me he'd spotted a small bird picking up some of it & flying off into the hedge. I really love the thought of my dog's fur being used in a nest Smile

JaneJeffer · 02/05/2020 21:05

I'd love a Carson (said in this tone of voice)

Raahh I stayed up until 1.30am last night watching You've Got Mail Grin I couldn't budge either even though I have also seen it about 20 times Confused

I agree with absolutely everything you said about it! I like Tom Hanks but Jimmy Stewart will always be the best ever, IMO!

I like Kathleen's apartment though. It shows a lovely stained glass window in one of the scenes. I had window envy.

Drama that's v cute about the spaniel fur aka nest material!

I would also love a Carson. I was watching a funny film on Talking Pictures (I think) the other day, and the posh family in it took their butler with them on holiday Grin

Sascha did post on Instagram recently, wearing a snappy suit - so he must have been keeping on top of his ironing.

JaneJeffer · 03/05/2020 17:31

Stan is baking today.

Well done Stan.

Raahh · 03/05/2020 20:06

I've just seen that Roberto Bautista Agut and his wife are expecting their first baby- that is lovely - he has had such a terrible time with bereavements recently. Congratulations to them . Bear (I'm sure Stan will send send one soon)

JaneJeffer · 03/05/2020 20:27

Aww that's lovely.

OP posts:
Fizzywinegum · 04/05/2020 11:33

Oh that’s lovely news about RBA and his wife Bear

Why does Stan always look so suggestive when he’s offering food? (Or is it just me!) I think those Nutella muffins would go down well in our house. Wonders where Stan is getting his flour from ...

Hope everyone is OK - I seem to have hit a bit of a wall this weekend and can’t really be bothered to do anything Hmm

Raahh · 04/05/2020 11:53

Fizzy I can't be bothered either, I was up at 5.30am, the days feel really long and there is bunting all over the estate where I live. We got a note through the door about the proposed V.E day stuff on Friday.

I can't even pretend to be out Grin.

I will have to mow the grass!

Stan will have a whole new career after this- and he does look suggestive with his food/drink- he will be sending pictures of himself in just an apron if this carries on Grin.

There seem to be a lot of 'tennis babies' appearing this year. Serena won't be pleased. She is the only tennis player male or female to have ever had a child, after all Wink.

JaneJeffer · 04/05/2020 11:59

Are you having impure thoughts about Stan Fizzy? tut tut

I have to go to the city tomorrow morning to see my eye doctor. I'll be a nervous wreck having to go out in the world having been in my little bubble for the past couple of months.

OP posts:
Fizzywinegum · 04/05/2020 12:03

Oh my goodness Stan in just an apron Blush Bear

Yes Raahh Serena will be annoyed that she’s no longer the only person on the planet (or even tennis player!) to have had a baby Grin

Our neighbours are also pushing for a VE socially distanced street party - I can’t be bothered either but can’t really pretend I’m doing anything else. Stand up bingo has been mentioned - I might just get drunk in my own garden Grin

I stayed in bed reading this morning - there didn’t seem to be much point in getting up Sad

Still waiting for the Rafa baby - that would cheer me up - I’m sure it would be very cute Smile

Fizzywinegum · 04/05/2020 12:06

I think it’s the food more than Stan Jane - who knows - lockdown is making me have strange thoughts Grin

Good luck with your appointment tomorrow - hope everything goes well.
