BizarreBizarre · 29/03/2020 21:46

So she was in a relationship with the guy who died who lived next door? What's this Neve tattoo about?

BizarreBizarre · 29/03/2020 21:54

So Kaya stabbed the woman who shes being a surrogate for when she was pregnant years ago?

Emmas85 · 29/03/2020 22:26

She stabbed a woman who I think died? She was pregnant and the baby died. The woman did look very similar to the wife.

fluffy71 · 29/03/2020 22:30

Thought this episode was a lot better.

covetingthepreciousthings · 29/03/2020 23:59

I've just watched the first two episodes back to back tonight, really enjoying it and interested to see where it goes.

I agree the woman who she stabbed did look like the wife (Emily?).

The social worker man seems very invested in her, what do you think the story is there with his wife whose not very well? I wonder if there'll be a plot twist and she wasn't responsible for the murder or something, but by the time they find out it'll be too late.

The house was amazing!

TheWordmeister · 30/03/2020 01:12

I read in the Times yesterday that house is available as a holiday rental.

Quite enjoying it so far. I’ll admit we’re struggling to understand the thick Scottish accents and have to scan back to hear some things twice.

OnlyFoolsnMothers · 30/03/2020 08:29

Neve was the name of the woman she stabbed when she was 11.
I actually don’t think she killed her neighbour...I think the husband did.

lazymum99 · 30/03/2020 08:42

I think Neve was her real name before she was given a new identity.

covetingthepreciousthings · 30/03/2020 08:45

@byappointmentto that house is stunning, or maybe it's just because of the views, either way, thanks for the link!

covetingthepreciousthings · 30/03/2020 08:49

A probably completely far flung theory.. but I was pondering whether the social worker man ( no idea on his name, or is he a probation officer?), what if his wife was actually involved and killed the pregnant woman and not the girl? And that's why he's so invested in her and didn't want to report her.
Just with the little girl last night asking where her mummy was and him saying she'll be back when she's better, made it sound like maybe mental health problems?

I'm probably over thinking it though.

I also don't think she killed the neighbour, I think Danny did.

OnlyFoolsnMothers · 30/03/2020 09:10

I think Neve was her real name before she was given a new identity nope it’s the name
Of her previous victim- she also wears her necklace

OnlyFoolsnMothers · 30/03/2020 09:11

I think the social workers home life is just to explain his soft spot for the girl- perhaps his wife has similar mental heath issues.

lazymum99 · 30/03/2020 09:16

From the Radio Times;
BBC One's The Nest episode two explained: Is Kaya ... - Radio Times
11 hours ago · Meanwhile Eleanor's bag is stolen by Dan's shadowy associates – but Dan gets more than he bargains for when he searches inside and finds a dossier of news clippings about an 11-year-old called Neve, who stabbed a pregnant woman to death in Lewis.

lazymum99 · 30/03/2020 09:17

Kaya was that 11 year old

AreWeAnywhereNear · 30/03/2020 09:42

I really enjoyed it - yes it's far fetched but who'd have thought we'd be in lockdown, stranger things have happened

I'm from Yorkshire and have no trouble with the accent, you just need to 'tune in' Wink

Emmas85 · 30/03/2020 10:23

I'm wondering whether the little girl is the baby of the woman who was stabbed? What if the baby survived and somehow he ended up with her? Probably waaaay over thinking it haha.

covetingthepreciousthings · 30/03/2020 10:24

Ooh that could be plausible! In a far fetched tv drama that is.

wowfudge · 30/03/2020 10:34

We gave up after the first episode as it was way too far-fetched.

MissEliza · 30/03/2020 10:48

@TheWordmeister I don't blame you at all. I grew up in Glasgow but I've lived down South for many years. I do understand the accents obviously but they are very strong.

MissEliza · 30/03/2020 10:49

I love Martin Compton but I think he's a bit young to play this 'tycoon' character and I'm struggling to understand why he'd be so well known.

OnlyFoolsnMothers · 30/03/2020 11:28

i love Martin Compton but I think he's a bit young to play this 'tycoon' character totally agree!!! But I guess he had to be young enough to be considering starting a family

PuppyMonkey · 30/03/2020 11:40

Can I join this? I have a question.

At the end of last week’s episode, Martin Compton’s dad (i think) had found out something crucial about the young girl and was saying “you can’t do it” but it was too late, they were over in Russia getting the procedure done.

Cut to this week, three months later, and MC and his dad are together and the dad mentions absolutely nothing of this crucial info he was wanting to pass on last time.Confused

Or did I just miss it?

OnlyFoolsnMothers · 30/03/2020 11:43

I thought it was to do with them not being able to
Find a birth certificate or any details on her.

Is that his dad?

Have to say he didn’t look very hard the journalist found her in minutes!

MissEliza · 30/03/2020 12:19

The journalist recognised her as she'd grown up on the Isle of Lewis where the murder happened.
