Yes, I’m really looking forward to this

BurningTheToast · 10/02/2020 16:32

I'm also looking forward to this. Had a cold over the weekend so chucked series 1 on in the background (it's up on the iplayer) while I was feeling sorry for myself.

Saw from the trailer that it doesn't look as though Hannah's dumped Nathan...

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 12/02/2020 01:06

I'm on episode 3 already, couldn't stop watching it even though I'm shattered and need to go to bed. It's fab!

OnTheEdgeOfTheNight · 12/02/2020 03:02

Series 1 is on iplayer too, so you can recap.

OrangeCinnamon · 12/02/2020 08:29

I may have accidentally stayed up a bit late just watching most of the series Grin is fab ...starts off slow but quickly gathers pace

Clawdy · 12/02/2020 08:41

There is another thread on about The Split, hopefully a no-spoilers one,so maybe this one could be for spoilers!

SchadenfreudePersonified · 12/02/2020 09:13

Me, too, me too!

Oblomov20 · 12/02/2020 16:10

Watching. I'm on episode 5.

BurningTheToast · 12/02/2020 17:07

Just starting the final episode - thank goodness for a bit of a cold and a good excuse to settle down on the sofa with a cuppa and a blanket!

BehindTheGreenDoor · 12/02/2020 17:09

Clawdy I’ve messaged MN to add spoilers to the thread title so this one can be for binge watchers.

Oh I loved the first series! I had forgotten all about it so very pleasantly surprised about the news of a second series.

OrangeCinnamon · 12/02/2020 17:37

Spoiler alert ....the clothes are great although Nina recycles a lot of outfits ....there maybe a reason for that !

BurningTheToast · 12/02/2020 18:26

Well who's got to the end? Because I have and I Have Thoughts...

Grey7841 · 12/02/2020 18:27

mid way through series 2 is the regular mention of the fox leading to something?

BehindTheGreenDoor · 12/02/2020 20:19

I don’t think so Grey unless I missed something.

Christie - how has someone so hot got such low self-esteem?

countrybumpkunt · 12/02/2020 21:08

Iv loved the first series and the second but I think hannah looks old and haggered in every episode. She looks so so much older than Christie and more like her sisters mother

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 12/02/2020 22:10

The fox symbolises an intruder coming into the family and upsetting the dynamics.

I've watched it all now,I had to stay in today and made good use of my time Wink

Loved it, I cried during the last episode. I'm a bit menopausal.Hmm

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 12/02/2020 22:13

I don't think Hannah looked 'old and haggard' she just isn't botoxed up the the eye brows. I thought she looked exactly how someone would look going through all that, the years were so realistic imo.

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 12/02/2020 22:15

**tears

Juanmorebeer · 12/02/2020 22:18

Yep I binged it. I finished it today after watching ep 1 last night. Also have a terrible cold so duvet day.

I really like Hannah's character. I find Rose annoying.

The coats and houses are dreamy.

countrybumpkunt · 12/02/2020 22:30

Christie looks so much younger than Hannah and he is so handsomethat I can't get my head around the fact he fancies hannah who looks more like his Aunt than a lover

countrybumpkunt · 12/02/2020 22:32

Mrspelligrino maybe its because her eyes look grey in many close ups??

Llareggub · 12/02/2020 22:34

I started watching series 1 yesterday. Today I finished series 2. It was great! It reminds me of The Good Wife though, only with English accents.

BehindTheGreenDoor · 12/02/2020 22:41

Me too MrsPelligrino. Lots of women have those lines in their 40s.

I think maybe that shade of blonde washes her out? Her eyes are beautiful.

Loved series 1 and have binged through to s2 ep4. Saving the last two for tomorrow, I don't want it to end!

Gosh, end of ep 4 with Hannah beng hugged by her mum and sister, that had me in tears. I felt a lot more sympathy for Nathan than at any other point so far. But will he realise that even if Hannah did/does love Christie, she also loves him and has chosen him at every point? I'm rooting for them to make it together now.
