This is brilliant news! I have every reason to sit in front of the tv - newborn, previous long hospital stay, knackered as got other children, and yet I still couldn’t bring myself to persevere with celebrity masterchef. Love the ‘professionals’ though!

Schaden Hating on the greengrocer is indeed an integral part of Masterchef viewing, but the Professionals series usually gives us someone else to revile, like chefs who don't use spices.

Looking forward to this one, although will disappear conveniently during the first round when the chefs cock up the "make this...." round due to the cringe factor.

I honestly don’t understand why Gregg is still in this. He used to be the No.2 to Michel Jr / Marcus but Monica (who started as a kind of sidekick) now has that role. But Gregg is still somehow there, always stuffing his face and lapping up all the freebies at posh restaurants. The best bit about MC Professionals is how the contestants all ignore him and only want to hear what Marcus and Monica have to say.

Nice to hear the winner is opening his own hometown place.
