New documentary due to be released on Netflix on Friday.

I've covered this subject quite extensively while I was studying law. I will be watching with a heavy heart, it is just one of those cases I can't let go of sadly.

Anyone else going to be watching?

At the end of the day there’s those who think they’re totally innocent, those who think they’re not and will say so and those who think they’re not but hide behind the facade of “we just don’t know the truth” but won’t come out with what they really think.

Well I think they're innocent and also agree that we don't know the truth.

So I don't know where that leaves me.

StarlingsEverywhere · 25/03/2019 17:06

I've read there was a stairgate at the top of the stairs down from the balcony to the little garden. And again! Can you really not see that people saying things like 'I haven't met many preschoolers who couldn't open a gate' is an obvious attempt to imply the parents are lying?!

GreatDuckCookery6211 · 25/03/2019 17:07

If you think they’re innocent then it’s obvious where it leaves you Confused

ColeHawlins · 25/03/2019 17:08

I'm not sure you're grasping the difference between thinking and knowing @GreatDuckCookery

GreatDuckCookery6211 · 25/03/2019 17:10

How do you work that out then? I’ve already said that nobody actually knows. It’s what sits right within each individual I guess.

Crockof · 25/03/2019 17:11

I'm just watching about the dogs on the documentary, I keep swinging from one side to another. I think it's amazing what dogs can do but that's another thread.
Blood seems difficult to I bleed easily I bet traces of my blood is all my house.

StarlingsEverywhere · 25/03/2019 17:11

I think entirely too many posters on here are so narrow-minded that they have absolutely no way to process or believe in anything they haven't directly experienced themselves.

ColeHawlins · 25/03/2019 17:13

That's a nice bit of vague-bitching @StarlingsEverywhere Grin

StarlingsEverywhere · 25/03/2019 17:15

If you say so.

ColeHawlins · 25/03/2019 17:16

GrinGrinGrin

So much passive aggression on one thread.

Crockof · 25/03/2019 17:17

I am also so sad for the other missing children. That book of stills of children who have been abused haunts me and that poor Portuguese boy 😔

MadMum101 · 25/03/2019 17:31

The evidence does not support the theory that her parents were involved in her disappearance.

Sorry to be controversial Claire but on what basis do you come to that conclusion?

They have not been declared innocent according to the to this -

clairemcnam · 25/03/2019 17:36

I posted a very long comment explaining that on the previous page I think. And courts do not rule on innocence. Rightly so.

Crockof · 25/03/2019 17:36

Agree with madmum there seems to be no evidence to support any theory.

acciocat · 25/03/2019 18:06

There’s also a group of posters who post what they think and a group who post what they think and arrogantly assume they can mind read everyone else too!

StarlingsEverywhere · 25/03/2019 18:15

Talking of passive aggression...

Cornettoninja · 25/03/2019 18:22

I’ve just finished watching this series and am surprised that my opinion has changed so much.

I was very suspicious of Kate and Gerry, but on reflection I think that my suspicions were aroused because I detected their guilt around the what if’s. I don’t believe now that they had anything to do with it and sympathise with their frustration at the police looking for evidence to fit their conclusion instead of looking for evidence of what actually happened. Especially given the information uncovered following further investigations.

I don’t really know where that leaves me with regards to what happened to Madeline, but the whole case is incredibly frustrating and confusing.

GreatDuckCookery6211 · 25/03/2019 18:25

There’s also a group of posters who post what they think and a group who post what they think and arrogantly assume they can mind read everyone else too!

You don’t have to be a mind reader, it’s there to see in black and white!

TaMereAPoilDevantPrisu · 25/03/2019 18:30

Do you think uneducated, working class parents would deny their daughter a decent burial?

What I meant is that some social groups have more reason than others not to put their faith in the justice system and thus be more likely to panic about repercussions.

acciocat · 25/03/2019 18:32

Yeap, and ive made it very clear consistently that I don’t think the mccanns were involved in their daughter’s disappearance. I do find a lot of their behaviour quite questionable. If the fact that people are critical of the mccanns means you believe we’re secretly thinking they’re murderers then that says a lot about your mind.

clairemcnam · 25/03/2019 18:46

What is the point of repeating the criticisms that have been made of them millions of times before, if you think they had nothing to do with their daughter's disappearance?

acciocat · 25/03/2019 18:50

It’s called discussion. About a completely unresolved case. On a discussion forum

clairemcnam · 25/03/2019 18:51

Except it isn't really. You said it as if you were daring to say the unacceptable. When really it adds nothing to the discussion at all.

acciocat · 25/03/2019 19:00

To be frank there probably isn’t much new that anyone can say about the case after 12 years and no evidence. Doesn’t mean it isn’t discussed though- as this thread proves

Valanice1989 · 25/03/2019 19:31

Thank you, TaMereAPoilDevantPrisu. Sorry I misinterpreted your post.
