We have some lovely occasional posters who have lived in Korea, are Korean or have Korean partners/family members who pop in from time to time to provide the context for some of the more baffling cultural references.

We have a few frequently used acronyms:
FL/2FL = female lead/2nd female lead
ML/2ML = male lead/2nd male lead
SLS = Second Lead Syndrome (where the FL/MLis too thick to realise how much better the 2ML/2FL is)

We also abbreviate titles if they’re long, but only after using the full title & acronym together. Some of the regular favourite actors have been abbreviated too for speed/efficiency, although “him off Black” seems to have stuck for Song Seung-Heon. Don’t be afraid to ask for help/clues if we’re not making sense or have descended into acronym soup.

I have tickets for 1st night at Wembley... Tickets way up high and at the back... Which are perfectly fine!... But.... Tickets go on sale on Friday for the second night... If I manage to get better seats for the second night.. I'll be reselling the first lot...
I'm not holding my breath though! I'll be very very surprised if I manage to get tickets again!

The ending of ep 12 of Money Flower. It’s unflinching. Really, really good though.

Also, there are 24 episodes so I am genuinely stumped about where they are taking it from here, as some of the major strands and reveals are already being tied up.

You're making it sound grim, is it hard to watch?

No, its OK because you are genuinely rooting for FL and also, increasingly Pil-Ju. FL’s character is interesting because her appeal as a patsy was her innate goodness (classic Kdrama trope of the self-sacrificing woman) but I also think she has a core of steel & increasingly has motivation to see justice (however it is meted out) prevail. It’s unflinching but not bleak or hopeless. I think the grit is probably justified because the downfall of all the players will be more satisfying for it. I really do want to see them suffer. From that point of view, I am completely invested.

However have also become drawn in to Newlywed Diary and am fascinated by their country lifestyle. Is it a deliberate back to basics thing or is that how houses are in rural areas? If a similar programme was done in the UK it would be all Agas & Cath Kidston & chuffing bunting. But they are getting up at 3am to put logs on the fire to heat the house and burying food pots. Plus I am hypnotised by the cooking, some very unusual dishes (strawberry jam, garlic mayo & cabbage toast being one). I prefer his cooking style, his dumpling soup looked amazing. Plus she farts all the time!!

Bettys.... yes... i was watching and when they're preserving the food and being frugal in my head I'm thinking... "you're famous actors!!! You don't need to live like that!" and yes! I love your cath kidston comment... spot on... it would all be done in the stylee of Kirstie Allsop!
Also... they're (esp him) are very good accomplished at cooking... the equivalent here would be a bag of pasta and some frozen peas... do you think he's the exception to the rule or do you think it's a given thing that you know how to cook from "scratch" for want of a better word...
They do seem to rough it... yes... is this a deliberate choice or is this what rural life is... am afraid I'm sounding very ignorant... but then again talking to my mum and dad (who grew up in Rural China) it was all very much pigs in the back garden and open fire cooking and village life (but then again this was 50 odd years ago!)

have you enjoyed Blood? I loved the line where Lovely Cop said something like "That sort of thing only happens in Dramas! " I properly laffed out there!

I have enjoyed Blood, especially the humour with lovely cop, but I wouldn’t say it was better than Shopaholic Louis. It’s in my ‘Enjoyed’ list rather than ‘Favourites’

I must look up where Newlywed Diary is filmed to see how rural it is. Interesting what your parents said, it must have the same for SK.

Such a shame as there were bits about it I really liked. Don’t get me wrong, I’m glad he reappeared but it left a few things unanswered

My thoughts too... But I think it's all to do about when the doc said his blood was exceptional and that he didn't need a heart to pump his blood... Am assuming he might have just been a little bit dead and true love bought him back!! (Brownie points for the geeky reference)... Basically I just ran with it (it's kdrama!) and am very glad for the tousled hair and cool look! ❤️❤️❤️

... Have to say.. Beauty Inside is very endearing and silly... Love the high school student storyline!... And am ❤️😍 over Vampire Priest!... He's lovely! ❤️😍😊

Yy to vampire priest, he looks very different in real life somehow (ie Newlywed Diary)

Love the transformation stories & they use guest stars ; the high school student is Lee Min-Ki’s costar from Because This Is My First Life The shaving scene is weirdly sexy 😉

Part of what I’m loving about Money Flower is Kang Pil-Ju’s evil genius streak. In advising the Chairman, he finds such elegant, inventive ways to screw members of the family over. He is a masterful tactician.

I’m recognising recycled locations. The 2ML/rich businessman’s country home from Temperature of Love has just popped up as a country hideaway in ep 14 of Mobey Flower. I recognised the drive before the house even came into shot. . Likewise, the ML’s house in Destiny was the modern day author’s home in Chicago Typewriter.

Bloody cliffhanger endings! I need to go to bed but but but...
