We have some lovely occasional posters who have lived in Korea, are Korean or have Korean partners/family members who pop in from time to time to provide the context for some of the more baffling cultural references.

We have a few frequently used acronyms:
FL/2FL = female lead/2nd female lead
ML/2ML = male lead/2nd male lead
SLS = Second Lead Syndrome (where the FL/MLis too thick to realise how much better the 2ML/2FL is)

We also abbreviate titles if they’re long, but only after using the full title & acronym together. Some of the regular favourite actors have been abbreviated too for speed/efficiency, although “him off Black” seems to have stuck for Song Seung-Heon. Don’t be afraid to ask for help/clues if we’re not making sense or have descended into acronym soup.

Started flicking through warrior baek dong soo! Grr JCW... And Robot /Strange Hero guy! Looked promising! With action and great bromance... However it's a long one so cheated and briefly read up... And not sure i want to invest all my time where lots of viewers seemed disgruntled by the finale.😡.. Shame... Might still give it a glance!... I mean... JCW! Fighting (not the good luck sort but the sword wielding sort!!) and bromance banter!! ❤️

Ah I didn't get past the first ep of Warrior Back Dong-Soo (no Grr JCW at that point in story as was still a baby) & didn't know Robot Strange Hero was in it. Just seemed dated.

Think Empress Ki might be a better bet as though is vv long there is steaminess

The messy sister’s house in Beauty Inside was the fading Hallyu star’s home in Uncontrollably Fond. It’s also featured as the location for a Hallowe’en party when there was a murder, but I can’t remember which one. One of the male leads went dressed as Shrek though.

Black was where the 2ML went as Shrek. Him off Black went dressed as Joe Black 😆

Ah yes. I think maybe that house has featured in 3 previous series that I’ve seen, because I don’t think the serial killer and the hallowe’en party were related. I have started ton wonder if the production companies own locations around Seoul. The access walkway outside the mistress’s apartment in Blood Money is the same one in Oh My Venus where FL comforts a miserable So Ji Sub, I think - same layout, look and handrails.

I got deeply embroiled in The Beauty Inside last night, didn’t turn in ‘til after 1am and feel somewhat haggard this morning. I have to be up early to go out of town to collect a Gumtree purchase, so no lie in for me. 😢 Maybe I’ll get away with an afternoon nap.

Boatyard! I love a drama that keeps me up! It's a sign of a good un!

I’m a good chunk through the episode where she stays over at ML’s and transforms to young man, so I’ve seen the scene where he teaches her to shave. I look forwards to the reciprocal scene. In true ‘capture-recapture’ style, this has reaffirmed my fondness for Lee Min Ki. He has a really offbeat style and energy, but he is very attractive. I would go as far as to say sexy.

Totally agree. I think it's the way he seems totally focused.

Plus his kiss scenes seem a lot more realistic - or it may be the combination of him & the actress as she is the one who got rather steamy with Yoo Yeon Seok in Dr Romantic

I think the fact that he’s so buttoned up most of the time means that, in scenes where he smiles or lightens up, you warm to him even more.

Ahhh! Yes! He is one of the most realistic kisses out in kdrama... (according to my extensive knowledge! 😂😂😂❤️)...

Think I might have to go back to Dr Romantic too! 😂😂😂

I love the next episode you're about to watch boatyard.. I love that storyline...

I am rewatching Beauty Inside for light relief alongside Money Flower and spotting a lot more the second time around.

I’ve also seen the film which the series is based on, which is good if you can find it (can’t remember what I watched it on)

Romance IABB - not only does Eun-Ho stride like model (which he was) but he cleans the house while his gf is out working

Just got to the bit where ML is called by the police because his “son” got in a fight and he deadpans: “my son? I’m asking just to make sure. (Pause) What year are you calling from?” Lee Min Ki is a darkly comic genius. That really made me laugh.

It had a really good mix of all the goodies that make a good drama!
I'm very much into light hearted drama at the moment! I watched a long run of legal / thrillery stuff.. I like the fluff!
I really liked the ost to Beauty inside too! Reminded me a lot of Strong Girl Bong Soon ost... Which is one of my fave ost!

I’m in the middle of FL’s mum’s visit where she’s starting to go mad with boredom. This set-up has endless potential!

I’m not good at having multiple irons in the fire like you guys. Just watched Sunday’s RomanceIABB, but frustrated to have had to park Beauty Inside just the point that ML’s stepsis’ awful fiancé has given her the dirt on ML. Yes, that cliffhanger. 😞 Must turn in though. I’m knackered.

I thought this week’s eps if RIABB were nice but didn’t move along so much. The bedroom scene was sweet but very understated. I did like the button sewing moment.

Ooooo! I love the development of ML SS... she's ace!... And lots of ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️😍😍😍😍 to come!!
I'm loving Lee Joon in Vampire Detective... But it's sort of fizzled out and think I might abandon it... Shame really as I think it had great potential!... I mean vampires! Detecting?... and lots main cast quite loveable... Not to mention Lee Joons very very swoonsome voice... He has got a very lovely way of speaking! Hmmm!

I woke up stupidly early - Viki on my phone is great, though I see that episodes are still dropping on viki. Is the whole run already up on Netflix?

Yes all 16 eps are on Netflix.

One thing I noticed on rewatching on Netflix as opposed to Dramabus is the difference in subs. The cute dog was subbed as ‘Kingg-Kangg’ which translated in my head to King Kong which I found amusing, but on Netflix it is written as Gingg-Gangg.
