We have some lovely occasional posters who have lived in Korea, are Korean or have Korean partners/family members who pop in from time to time to provide the context for some of the more baffling cultural references.

We have a few frequently used acronyms:
FL/2FL = female lead/2nd female lead
ML/2ML = male lead/2nd male lead
SLS = Second Lead Syndrome (where the FL/MLis too thick to realise how much better the 2ML/2FL is)

We also abbreviate titles if they’re long, but only after using the full title & acronym together. Some of the regular favourite actors have been abbreviated too for speed/efficiency, although “him off Black” seems to have stuck for Song Seung-Heon. Don’t be afraid to ask for help/clues if we’re not making sense or have descended into acronym soup.

My recent thoughts on Her Private Life:

1. FL’s super fan stalker-like skills and attention to detail will come to the fore in the search for the enigmatic Lee Sol and the four missing paintings;
2. the visual artist that Si An wants to work with on the exhibition is the fan that runs the Si An is My Road website;
3. things are about to get messy; and
4. Ultimately FL will find artistic and commercial success in her area of interest and expertise (portraiture).

Oooh good points I'd forgotten abut the visual artist!
I think

1. What draws ML to FL is her remarkable insight eg the hidden meaning behind the photograph where the dying man is saying 'hello' (and then ML says hello swoony style)

2. ML's real mother is the bubble artist who abandoned him due to being a tortured creative soul or some such malarkey

3. Si An is possibly his brother as people keep saying they look alike

4. There will be a flashback at some point to FL & ML being kids & drawing with chalk on the ground

And - random comment - there aren't many people that can pull off a tutu skirt like Park Min-Young did without looking like they have an enormous arse

I had assumed the same.

I really like the chat room bits with flashing lights on their heads and I LOVE the Farrow & Ball blue panels in MLs flat
I also really like Director EOM as a character although I probably shouldn’t as she is a bit monstrous

And ML looks very very lovely when he sleeps 😍

Me too! I also loved how FL’s pale orange suit worked with the blue in this week’s pivotal scene. There is quite a lot of beautiful colouring in the production design, I’ve noticed. FL’s pistaccio green blouse was great in the cafe apology scene early on. I really like both of KJW’s pastel suits this week - the pale pink & the blue - and I loved hos open necked pale blue sweater in the downpour. Suffice it to say, there isn’t much I dislike about this series. Except Cindy's car - what self-respecting superfan goes papping/stalking in a bright red, souped-up luxury car?
